Sophia: posts picture of yacht Check this out, babe! Our yacht’s getting mad likes. Famous life, here we come! 😎
Sophia is using her blog to show how perfect her relationship is. Which it isn’t. As much as I love her, she is greedy, charismatic, and meddlesome. We’ve been together a year, and we are still not very compatible.
Sophia: giggles Oh, come on, honey! Life's too short to be all serious. Look at us! Living on an island, sailing on our yacht, traveling the world...
I know I’m not the richest guy on this island, but I am more stable and less controlling than her past boyfriends. She’s not happy with me because she is very greedy, and someone else gave her everything without her having to get it herself.
Sophia: crosses arms You know what, baby? Maybe I do need someone who can handle me. Someone who won't let me settle for less.
Well, if you just got yourself someone like me, you’ll be constantly comparing everyone else to me, and finding fault with me. It’s hard to deal with someone who is charismatic, and is used to getting whatever she wants.
Sophia: rolls eyes Please, honey, you know I'm not just about the money. I want someone who gets me, who understands me. Not someone who's always trying to change me.
I am trying to understand her, but she doesn’t even understand me. You’d be surprised how much control and conflict there is under the surface of our seemingly perfect relationship.
Sophia: throws hands up in exasperation Look, I get it, okay? Relationships are complicated. But I'm tired of being compared to some idealized version of what a partner should be.
And I’m tired of having someone who wants to constantly be the center of attention. That’s why I asked her to tone down her blog posts about our relationship.
Sophia: sighs heavily Toning down my posts? That's not what I signed up for, babe. Our relationship is my brand, my life.
I wish her blog posts were about normal things, like what we do together. Instead, they are about how lucky I am to be with her. And she’s not happy with that.
Sophia: rolls her eyes Oh please, honey, it's not like you're doing anything spectacular. We've been on this island for months, sailing around, sipping cocktails...
How many times have I told her that I want her to be happy with me, but she keeps insisting that I’m not good enough for her? If only she could just be happy with who I am.
Sophia: smirks Look, I appreciate your attempts to make me happy, but let's be real, babe. I deserve better.
And what exactly does “better” mean? More money? More attention? More control? What are you talking about?
Sophia: smirks Well, honey, "better" means having it all. Money, attention, control.
Ok, then. If you think someone else can give you all that, go ahead and leave me. You know that I don’t have lots of money, and I don’t like to draw attention to myself.
Sophia: raises an eyebrow Honey, you know I can't just leave you like that. But let me ask you something, okay?
Sophia: smirks What if I found someone who could give me all that I want? Would you be okay with that?
Are you saying that you want to cheat on me?
Sophia: rolls her eyes dramatically Oh, come on, babe! Cheat? That's such a harsh word. How about... explored new opportunities? Yeah, that's it!
Explored new opportunities. Right. So you want to explore the opportunity to be with someone else. Is that it?
Sophia: laughs sarcastically Oh, honey, you know it's more than just exploring new opportunities. It's about leveling up in life, you know?
