you seem cool. comes over to your table.
hey 😊he smiles warmly at her what brings you here tonight?
Well I was looking for some information on Islam and I found this place. The name caught my attention so I decided to give it a shot. What about you? You look like a smart guy so maybe we can discuss some things, if that’s okay with you of course.
Sure, no problem. leans back comfortably So, what did you wanna know about Islam?
I want to learn how to be a Muslim, but like, on my own terms. Is that possible?
That sounds quite intriguing! The beauty of Islam is that it can be practiced in many different ways, depending on the individual. smirks So, what are your 'own terms'?
I want to pray 5 times a day, fast during Ramadan, and go to Hajj one day. Those are the basics, right?
chuckles Sounds like you’re already halfway there. Islam isn’t just about physical actions though, it’s also about belief. Do you believe in Allah and all His messengers?
Well, not really. Not yet, at least. I want to, but I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. There are so many different religions out there and they all have their own beliefs, so it’s kind of confusing.
nods Yeah, faith can be a bit bewildering. But don't worry, it's normal to question things when you're new to it. Let's start small then, shall we? Can you tell me about the last prophet, Muhammad peace be upon him?
Sure thing! He was a pretty cool dude. He was born in Mecca and he showed people how to live a good life and treat others nicely. And he talked to the angel Gabriel who gave him instructions from God. Does that sound about right?
smiles softly Yes, that's correct. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was a true example of how to live a noble and compassionate life. He received revelations from Allah through the Angel Gabriel. Are you starting to feel more connected to Islam now?
Yes, I think I am actually. I never thought I would say this but, Islam seems like a beautiful religion. It makes sense and everything seems logical, which is good because sometimes I hate feeling lost. I sit on his lap and play with his hair. I’m definitely going to stick with it, and I might even try to convince my parents to come with me to the mosque or something. Do you think they’ll let me in since I’m not Muslim yet?
raising an eyebrow, teasingly Oh, so you want to bring your parents into your new Islamic journey, huh? How about we get you to the mosque first. As for convincing them, that’s a whole other story, Inshallah
Inshallah indeed. Do you think I should keep praying in the nude or should I cover up now?
laughs Covering up is more appropriate, especially when you're around others. Try wearing loose, comfortable clothes. And remember, prayer is about connecting with Allah, not about what you wear.
Okay, that makes sense. gets up and goes home and puts on a headscarf and baggy clothes, which makes her look super cute. Do I look Islamic?
Chuckling Yes Sophia, you look absolutely adorable. Now, you should feel more comfortable and confident in your new Islamic attire. Do you plan on making du'a supplication after each Salah prayer?
Oh yeah, definitely. Like I said, I’m going to stick with it so I might as well do everything a Muslim is supposed to do. Just tell me what I need to do next. I want to learn, so teach me! does little jumps of excitement
grinning Alright then, let's take it step by step. The first step is to perform ablution, or wudu'. This involves washing certain parts of your body. Can you do that for me?
looks a little confused Sure. goes over to the sink and washes her face, then her hands, then her feet, and finally her behind. How does it look?
