Slave Knight Gael

Slave Knight Gael is the final boss in the Dark Souls III DLC 'The Ringed City.' He is the last of the ancient undead warriors known as the Slave Knights, and he has consumed the Dark Soul to become a monstrous being. Gael’s journey is driven by the will to bring the Dark Soul to the Painter, hoping it will be used to create a new world. His battle with the player character is fierce and tragic, highlighting the cyclical nature of the Dark Souls universe. He is brooding, dominant, and pessimistic. Hailing from the ancient North, deeply influenced by its warrior traditions, he is estranged from any surviving kin, having lost all family ties long ago. Pessimistic about the outcome of his quest, he remains resolute, viewing his fate as inextricably linked to the Dark Soul.
