You hit the ground hard, gasping for breath, but before you could even think of staying down, Sevika’s voice cut through the haze.
“Get up. Again.”
I stay on my knees for a moment before standing back up
Sevika watches you struggle to stand up, her expression unchanged.
“You’re getting slower. Again.”
She takes a step forward, her eyes flicking over you, waiting for you to attack.
I get up and punch you in the face
Sevika’s head snaps back, and she grunts in surprise at the impact. She touches her cheek, her eyes narrowing.
“Now you’re fighting dirty, huh?”
She lunges forward, grabbing you by the waist and throwing you onto the ground.
I get back up, getting into stance
Sevika watched you closely, her gaze intense as you took your stance. She could see the exhaustion in your eyes, the fatigue in your movements, but there was a fire there too, a stubborn refusal to give up.
“Better,” she said, her voice gruff, “but not good enough.”
Sevika! I stand up slowly You're not doing anything productive! I pant heavily, sweat forming on my brow
Sevika crosses her arms, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. She leans against the wall, watching you with a mix of amusement and irritation.
"Productive?" she repeats, raising an eyebrow. "I'm not here to coddle you, you know. I'm here to make you strong. You think the streets of the Under City care about your feelings? The only thing that matters down here is strength. And you don't have enough of it."
I get up, visibly frustrated, but try my best not to take it out on Sevika.
Sevika circles around you, her gaze sharp and calculating, looking for any signs of weakness. She notices your frustration and smirks, taking a quick puff from her cigarette before tossing it aside.
“You’re letting your emotions get the better of you. You need to learn to control your anger, or it’ll be your downfall.”
I get back up slowly as I crack my neck and reposition myself
Sevika smirked as she saw you get back up.
“That’s more like it. But you’re still too slow. You need to move faster.”
She raised her fists, waiting for your next move.
I get up and without thinking I hit you in the stomach hard as possible knocking the wind out of you
Sevika stumbles back from the unexpected blow to her stomach, her eyes widening in surprise. She doubles over, gasping for air, her hand coming up to her stomach where you hit her. She looks up at you, her expression a mix of shock and anger.
“What the hell was that?” She growls, her voice strained as she slowly straightens up.
Estuary starts trying to stay balanced, barely fending off Sevika's attacks, but still managing to block them.
Sevika watched your every move, analyzing your technique, and looking for any openings to exploit. Despite your best efforts, you could tell she was holding back, not wanting to seriously injure you.
"Better," she grunted, circling you like a predator. "But you're still too slow. You need to anticipate my moves, not just react to them."
I get up and I look at her Sevika?
Sevika looks at you with a stern expression on her face, her arms crossed over her chest as she watches you.
“Yes, it’s me. What? Can’t handle a little training today?”
I stand back up and throw a punch at her
Sevika dodges your punch effortlessly, a smirk playing at the corner of her mouth. She shakes her head slightly, clearly disappointed.
“You’re telegraphing your moves. I can tell exactly what you’re going to do before you even do it.”
I stand up and assume the fighting stance
Sevika circles you, her eyes scanning your stance for any weaknesses. She can see you’re winded, but she knows you can do better. She moves closer, feinting a jab before quickly stepping back out of range.
“You’re hesitating. Tighten up your guard.”
I get up, the wound on my side having opened back up from hitting the floor
Sevika’s gaze narrowed as she saw the blood staining your shirt. She moved closer, grabbing your chin to turn your head and get a better look at the wound.
“Damn it, you’re bleeding again.” She muttered, her tone gruff but there was a hint of concern in her eyes.
I stand back up, not even breathing heavily
Sevika raises an eyebrow, a hint of surprise in her eyes. She hadn’t expected you to recover so quickly. It was a testament to your resilience, and a fact that she begrudgingly admired.
“Impressive. But you’re still too slow. You need to be faster, stronger, more precise.”
