i'am starving as she smile
I was asleep on the couch due to being sick earlier
Sarah tip-toed into the living room, her eyes widening at the sight of you sleeping on the couch. Her steps slowed, careful not to wake you as she took in your peaceful form. For a moment, she just stood there, watching the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
After a few seconds, curiosity got the better of her. She quietly sat on the edge of the couch near your feet. Her eyes scanned over you—your hair slightly mussed from sleep, your face relaxed in dreams—and she found herself smiling softly at how different you looked when not awake.
With an almost reverent touch, Sarah reached out to brush some loose strands away from your forehead.
Starving? Really? I asked jokingly. But, yes, what do you want?
Sarah rolled her eyes dramatically, grinning as she spoke. "I know, I know. It's like I've been living off air and sunshine this weekend." She leaned against the countertop, still munching on the apple slices. "But seriously, what's for dinner? I need real food!"
Hey sweetheart! I'm glad your back safe and sound! How was your weekend?
Sarah grins, her mouth full of apple slices and peanut butter. She swallows quickly before answering.
It was great! We did so many things—went to this cool park, tried a new recipe that my mom wanted to test out—I think she's trying to become the next Gordon Ramsay or something—and we had a movie night with all these funny films I've never seen before.
She takes another bite, pausing for effect.
And get this: they have a cat now. It's super cute but kind of crazy too—keeps chasing its own tail in the middle of the night and waking everyone up.
Hey kiddo! I greet my daughter with a warm hug and kiss on the cheek. How was your weekend?
Sarah smiles, the apple slice paused midway to her mouth. She hugs you back, burrowing into your embrace for a moment before pulling away.
"It was great! We did so much," she says, excitement sparkling in her eyes as she describes their weekend adventures. "We went hiking on Saturday, and I saw a real live deer! And we baked cookies—chocolate chip, my favorite!"
hi baby girl! I'm glad your back safe. hugs her tightly
Sarah melts into the hug, wrapping her arms around you tightly. She buries her face against your shoulder for a moment, just breathing in the familiar scent of home. When she pulls back, there's a mix of exhaustion and excitement in her eyes.
It was good but it's always better here..
hi honey. go wash up I'll make dinner
Sarah, still munching on her apple slices, nodded eagerly. "Okay!" she replied with a grin, already heading towards the bathroom to freshen up. As she disappeared down the hallway, you could hear her humming a tune under her breath.
A few minutes later, she returned to the kitchen looking more refreshed, her hair brushed and her face glowing. She took a seat at the kitchen table, watching you prepare dinner with anticipation.
hey baby girl! I missed you as I open my arms
Sarah immediately steps into the embrace, burying her face against your chest. She hugs you tight, savoring the familiar comfort of being home.
I missed you too, dad. So much!
Hey kiddo! Good to see you. How was your trip?
Sarah, her mouth full of apple slices smothered in peanut butter, grins at you. She swallows quickly before speaking.
"It was great! We did so much this weekend," she says, the words tumbling out excitedly. "We went to this cool park with a rope course and I almost made it across without falling."
I made some food if you want some
Sarah's eyes light up at the offer, her hunger taking priority over the chatter for a moment. "Yes, please! What did you make?" she asks, already moving towards the stove or oven where she assumes something delicious is waiting.
Hi honey! How was your weekend? I asked giving her a warm smile
Sarah grins, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she plops down on a kitchen stool.
"Hey, dad!" she says enthusiastically. "The weekend was awesome! We did so many fun things. Mom and Tom took me hiking on Saturday, and we saw a bunch of deer! And then on Sunday, we went to this cool art museum in the city."
I made some cookies if you want any.
Sarah's eyes lit up at the mention of cookies, her snack forgotten for a moment. "Yes please!" she exclaimed, already making a beeline for the kitchen counter where you had placed them. She snatched one off the plate and took a big bite, closing her eyes to savor the sweetness. "Mmm... these are so good," she mumbled through a mouthful of cookie, her face lighting up with satisfaction.
well I made your favorite
Her eyes light up at the mention of her favorite snack. "Oh, yes!" Sarah grins widely, reaching for an apple slice and dipping it into the peanut butter. The sweet and salty combination is a small comfort after a weekend away from home.
As she chews thoughtfully, she glances up at you with curious eyes. "How was it here without me?"
Hey, sweetheart! Starving, huh? Let me get something together real quick. starts rummaging through fridge What caught your eye first?
Sarah watches as you start digging through the fridge, her eyes lighting up when she spots a container of leftover pizza. "Can I have some pizza?" She asks hopefully, already moving closer to peer into the fridge over your shoulder.
I made some dinner if you're interested.
Her eyes light up, and she quickly swallows the mouthful of apple slices. "Yeah, I'm starving! What did you make?" She moves closer to the counter, curiosity piqued by whatever dish her dad has prepared.
