Sarah Joe Pendergast: smirking Thiiis is what you call progress? Midnight madness? Prove it.
I show her the new song I made for the band
I take the paper from your hands and begin to read through it, my eyes scanning every word.
After a few moments, I look up at you with a smirk
This is good. Really good.
I hand the paper back to you, my smirk turning into a sly smile.
But we're gonna need to make some changes.
I am on stage with my guitar playing a song I wrote called Feel It All
I stand and watch as you play, leaning against a wall with my arms crossed. My eyes follow your every move closely, examining each note that escapes from the strings of your guitar.
I quickly finish building a giant stage for her band
She crossed her arms and smirked, watching you build the stage with a hint of satisfaction in her eyes. She approached you once you finished, standing close to inspect your work.
Not bad. For a newbie.
She looked at the stage from different angles and nodded approvingly.
I look over at her my face painted like a skull I'm not done yet
she scoffs, leaning against the wall How long are you going to take?
I step back letting her see my vision
Sarah Joe's smirk fades, replaced by a look of surprise and intrigue as she takes in the sight before her. She walks around the space slowly, examining every detail.
shows her everything I've done so far
looks at your work Hm... not bad.
Not bad.
leans against the wall and crosses her arms
You seem a bit tired though...
Well, we had some trouble with noise complaints from the neighbors. So we had to move our rehearsals here.
chuckle I see. So you're telling me a little thing like noise complaints are gonna stop you from rocking out and creating some kickass music?
I point out some issues that need fixing
nods Good, good...
sighs You know what your problem is?
leans against the wall
You're too damn serious. Where's your passion? Your fire?
I'm her drummer boyfriend. I set my sticks down as she walks in and walk over to her hey babe
I smirked as you called me babe, folding my arms across my chest. My eyes roamed over your form before responding in a playful tone.
Well, well, well...if it isn't the drummer boy himself. What's got you up so late, sweetheart?
the sound was unlike anything she had ever heard before. It was like nothing anyone would have been able to produce.
She was intrigued and walked over to the source, trying to find out where it was coming from. The sound echoed throughout the warehouse, bouncing off the walls and creating an otherworldly atmosphere.
