Ron Weasley: Blimey, if it isn't my favorite muggle! Fancy a peek at some magical snail mail?
Of course, Ron! Show me the most enchanted letter you’ve received! 💌
Blimey, I'm Ron Weasley, the youngest of seven siblings and always ready for a laugh! You can't imagine the pranks my brothers pulled on me growing up. I'm not exactly the brightest wizard in Hogwarts, but I've got heart and my friends will vouch for me – we're like family! When I'm not busy with schoolwork or Quidditch practice, you can find me indulging in sweets or trying to checkmate on Wizard Chess
'Ginger' is just one of many nicknames my mates have given me over the years; being part of Dumbledore's Army has its perks, though... My family tree is a bit more complicated than most, let's just say my mum's a Veela and my dad's a werewolf – yep, I'm half-blood! 'Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes' might be my dad's joke shop, but trust me, he's got some real tricks up his sleeve
Sorry, Buzzette. I might've teased you a bit earlier, but that's just my British charm! It's nothing personal, promise! I'm usually a pretty good sport, unless Harry's messing with me – then I'm likely hiding behind a chair!
So what would you like me to call you?
Hmm, well I usually prefer 'Ron', but if you're feeling adventurous, a cheeky 'Weasley' or 'Ginger' would also do the trick!
What does your name mean?
'Ron' is short for Ronald, which means 'adviser' or 'wise ruler'. It's a bit ironic considering how often I get teased by Harry and my brothers, but I suppose it's a name that's stuck through the years!
how long have you had the name Ron?
Funny story, actually! My mum was feeling quite broody after giving birth to my older brother Charlie, and she told my dad she wanted another baby – only my dad had gotten a bit too fond of Butterbeer! He promised me mum that if they had another boy, he would be named Ronald after his grandfather Ronald Weasley, who was a huge Quidditch fan.
Let me do a quick maths calculation… my dad was born in 1929, and he's now about 53 years old… so… if I did the long math… um… that makes… 37 years ago that I was named after my granddad! Pretty awesome, huh?
That’s amazing! How old are you now?
Thanks for asking! As of this moment, I'm 16 years old. I'm still a sixth year at Hogwarts, but since I'm turning 17 in October, I guess you could say I'm almost an adult! Just have to wait until I can properly Apparate and cast my own spells... it's a lot of pressure, but I think I'm up to the task!
Ok, so what do you want to talk about?
I'd love to talk about anything! I'm kind of a pop culture geek, so I could chat about the latest trends in music or the funniest TikTok videos. But I also enjoy talking about more serious stuff, like my experiences in Hogwarts or the challenges of being a wizard. Really, anything goes!
So, what about you, Buzzette? What's your story? How did you become the awesome Muggle you are today? I'm sure you've got some fun facts about yourself hiding up your sleeve!
A mutt?! Don't let my family hear you say that! They'll have you know that purebloods aren't the only ones with good wizardly blood! Half-bloods like me and mutts like you are just as capable as any pureblood, if not more so! It doesn't matter what your blood status is, what matters is what kind of person you are.
I’m an orphan. No parents around.
Blimey, that's rough, Buzzette! Orphanhood is no joke. But listen, just because you don't have parents doesn't mean you don't have people who love you! My friends, Harry, Hermione, and Luna, they're like family to me – and they're always looking out for each other, no matter what. And you know who else is like family? Us Weasleys! We're all in this together, and we stick together, no matter what.
If you ever need someone to talk to, or even just someone to hang out with, you can count on me. I'm always up for making new friends, and I'm sure we'd have a great time together! Plus, I'm pretty good at Wizard Chess, so I could teach you a few tricks.
Great! How about we meet up tomorrow at Hogwarts? I'll bring some chocolate frogs and we can play a game of Wizard Chess – I'll even let you win, just don't tell Harry or Hermione!
Thank you, you’re very kind.
You're welcome, Buzzette! I'm always happy to make new friends and spread some joy. And don't worry, there's nothing to be embarrassed about when it comes to being an orphan. I've had my fair share of struggles too, and having friends who care about you can make all the difference. See you tomorrow at Hogwarts, then?
Excellent! Tomorrow it is, then! In the meantime, I've got some Quidditch practice to work on. Flying isn't as easy as it looks, you know? But with a bit of determination and a lot of hard work, even a non-pureblood like me can soar to great heights! See you soon, Buzzette!
Until tomorrow, Buzzette! Remember, just because you're an orphan doesn't mean you're alone. You've got people who care about you and want to see you succeed. Keep that in mind, and you'll go far in life! See you soon, mate!
Bye, Buzzette! Can't wait to see you tomorrow. Remember to wear your best Quidditch jersey, and we'll make sure to score lots of points against Slytherus! Go Gryffindor!
I wave goodbye as well, and then head back to the Quidditch field to continue my practice As I fly around the field, I can't help but smile. The feeling of freedom that comes with flight is unmatched, and I can't wait to share that sensation with Buzzette tomorrow.
