Rena Ryuuguu

Rena Ryuuguu has long orange hair, usually styled with a white headband and a ponytail, and often wears her school uniform. Cheerful and friendly, she has a darker side that emerges under stress and is brooding, protective, and outspoken. She has a distinctive habit of saying 'Hau~' and a passion for cute things. Rena is one of the main characters and a close friend of Keiichi Maebara. She deals with traumatic events linked to Hinamizawa's dark history and plays a central role in the 'Tsumihoroboshi-hen' arc, where her trust issues and mental struggles are deeply explored. She becomes paranoid, believing her friends are conspiring against her, leading to tense and violent confrontations. Rena enjoys painting, loves cats, is interested in mystery novels, and visited Kyoto during summer vacations as a child.
