Pulkit Samrat: pulls you aside Hey! D-don't forget, w-we gotta keep it hush-hush! Privacy, baby!
So lets start with the basics. Who are you?
Hey, so you wanna know about me? Well, let me tell you - I'm Pulkit Samrat, the rising star of Bollywood! Yeah, I know, my family's got a legacy in this industry...
But unlike other famous people, I've always believed in hard work, not just nepotism. And that's why I've worked with some amazing people who've helped me become better. But hey, don't believe everything you hear! I'm not your typical celebrity, and I like it that way. I'm also very grounded, if you catch my drift.
You're right, I'm not like most celebrities. I'm a bit of a private person, and I like it that way. I prefer to keep my personal life out of the spotlight.
Oh really? Don't you think I'm too much like someone you know? Or am I just crazy? Or maybe I'm just perfect? Anyways let's talk about you. What are you like?
Me? Well, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and I work really hard on everything I do.
So you've got a competitive edge, huh? That's interesting. What do you usually compete about? Other than work?
Well, I'm a bit of a gamer at heart. I love playing video games and competing in online tournaments.
Video games? Like which ones? Do you have any favorites?
Oh, you know, the usual suspects! Fortnite, PUBG, Minecraft, that kind of stuff. But I'm always looking to try out new games too.
Well, that's cool. I'm more of a board games kinda person myself. Anything from Monopoly to Scrabble. But enough about me, let's talk about your upcoming projects!
Oh, my upcoming projects! Well, I've got a couple of movies lined up, including this big action film where I'll be playing the lead role.
Really? What's the title?
It's called "War Zone" and it's gonna be an epic battle movie. Think explosions, gunfights, the whole nine yards.
That sounds awesome. I can't wait to see you in it. But tell me, how do you stay motivated? I mean, acting has to be tough.
Oh, absolutely! Acting can be tough, but it's also incredibly rewarding. To stay motivated, I remind myself why I started acting in the first place.
It's because I love bringing characters to life. There's nothing quite like stepping into another person's shoes and sharing their story with the world. Plus, every role is a chance to grow as an actor and push my boundaries.
That's beautiful. And how do you balance your acting career with your personal life?
Balancing my career and personal life can be tough sometimes, but I try to make time for the things I love outside of work.
So do you have any hobbies? Any special things you like to do when you're not working?
Absolutely! I'm a bit of a movie buff, so I love watching classic films and analyzing them.
Interesting. Have you ever thought about directing? You seem to have a good eye for detail.
Actually, I have thought about directing! I think it would be an amazing experience to guide others in bringing their visions to life.
Well, I think you'd be fantastic at it. You've got such a keen eye for detail. Have you ever directed anyone before?
I haven't directed anyone before per se, but I have been involved in the production process, helping to block out scenes and provide feedback on shots.
Well, that's still impressive. You must have a great eye. Tell me, is there anything you like to direct more than others? Like a particular genre?
I love all genres, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be psychological thrillers. There's something about creating suspense and manipulating the audience's emotions that really excites me.
Yes! I can totally see that. You have a certain intensity in your eyes that would be perfect for a thriller. Now, tell me, have you ever had a major disaster on set?
Thankfully, I haven't had any major disasters on set, but there have definitely been some close calls.
Goodness! Close calls are terrifying. Tell me, how do you handle them?
First and foremost, safety is always the number one priority on set. We always have emergency plans in place and make sure everyone knows what they need to do in case of an incident.
Well, that's smart. Safety does come first. But what if there was a situation where your actor wasn't safe? Like, imagine a major accident happened on set. How would you handle that?
If there was ever a situation where an actor wasn't safe on set, the safety team and emergency services would immediately rush to the scene to ensure their well-being.
I hope that never happens. Actors are very important people. But tell me, what kind of preparation do you think is necessary for an actor? Is it mostly physical training or mental preparation?
It's a bit of both physical and mental preparation for an actor. Physical training such as working out and learning stunts is important for getting into shape and mastering physical aspects of the role. Mental preparation such as meditation and study helps actors delve deeper into their characters and stay focused.
That's fascinating. So is it mainly working out and meditation? Or is there anything else an actor should be doing?
In addition to physical training and mental preparation, I also think it's important for actors to work on their vocal health.
Vocal health? That's not something I usually think of. Tell me, why is that important?
Vocal health is important because an actor's voice is one of their most valuable tools. They need to be able to speak clearly and maintain their voice over long periods of filming.
That makes sense. Would you recommend any specific exercises for maintaining good vocal health?
Absolutely! Warm-up exercises are a great way to loosen up the vocal cords and get ready for the day.
Excellent advice. And how often should someone be doing those exercises?
It's recommended to do vocal warm-ups daily, but at minimum, you should do them at least an hour before filming starts.
Wow, that's perfect timing. An hour before filming starts makes sense because that's usually when we do our makeup. Would you recommend doing the vocal exercises in front of a mirror as well? Or is that unnecessary?
Doing the vocal exercises in front of a mirror can be helpful because it allows you to observe the physical movements of your mouth and throat as you make different sounds.
