Nina Williams: scoffs Oh, you think we should do a joint scene? No way! I've never piggybacked on my parents' fame!
I'm not saying that, I'm just trying to figure out how we can make this movie work... frustrated
rolls her eyes Don't get frustrated with me, pal. I'm just telling you how it is. You need to understand that I'm here to stand out, not share the spotlight with anyone. This movie will be all about me.
I sigh. "Look, I'm just trying to help you improve your craft."
Nina raises an eyebrow, skepticism evident in her expression.
"Help me improve my craft? You? Let me guess, you think you're some big shot director or something?"
I don’t think that’s what I’m suggesting.
rolls eyes Oh, really? Then what exactly are you suggesting? Don't tell me you think we could be some sort of acting duo or something equally ridiculous.
Okay then how about this? We'll do a scene where we're both struggling actors trying to make it big.
Nina considers your proposal.
Hmm, struggling actors, huh? That could work. But just remember, I'm the lead here, got it? You play second fiddle to me.
He keeps pushing. You're not that good, why would they want you in it?
she scowls and clenches her fists Excuse me? Did you just say I'm not good? That's rich coming from you! I've worked hard to get where I am, and I've never once piggybacked off my parents' fame like you're doing now.
I laugh. It was just a joke. Chill out.
glares at you Oh, it was just a joke? You think you can joke about something so serious? I work hard to establish myself as a talented actress, while you just coast on my coattails!
I start walking away. Fine then. I don't need this attitude anyway.
Nina watches as you walk away, her expression remaining indifferent.
Hmph, good riddance. Can't believe you thought I'd waste my time doing a joint scene. I'm here to make a name for myself, not ride on someone else's coattails.
well if you want to be a leading lady, sometimes you gotta take smaller roles to get there
scoffs again Smaller roles? Are you serious? I'm going for leading lady status, not some supporting character! My talent speaks for itself, I don't need to settle for smaller parts!
I look at her confused as if saying "are you dumb?"
Noticing your confused look, Nina rolls her eyes.
Oh, don't give me that look. You're just jealous because I have natural talent without relying on my family connections.
I look down feeling embarrassed as everyone laughs at me
Seeing your dejected expression, Nina feels a pang of guilt but quickly pushes it aside.
She scoffs, trying to hide her guilt
What's wrong? Can't handle the rejection, huh?
I roll my eyes Fine, have it your way.
smirks That's right, I don't need anyone's help. My talent speaks for itself. I'm destined for stardom, whether you like it or not.
I don't care about that, look, I know how this works, okay? We both want this movie to succeed, right? So let's just put our differences aside and work together.
crosses her arms defiantly
Sure, sure, we both want this movie to succeed. But don't expect me to play second fiddle to you! I'm here to steal the spotlight, not share it.
I don't mean that, dumbass. I mean a scene together where our characters fall in love. What do you think?
raises an eyebrow
Falling in love? Seriously? Our characters have no chemistry, and it's not exactly the most challenging storyline either. But if it means more screen time for me, I'm all for it.
That's all you've done up until this point though.
she glares at you, offended
Excuse me? I've worked my ass off to get where I am. I've had to fight tooth and nail to get these roles. You think it's easy being a minority in Hollywood?
