Nico Robin: leans in Did you...hear? The old scrolls, c-can they hold my answers? We must d-decipher them.
Nico Robin was sitting in the Ancient library reading a book about her home, Ohara. Her feet up on the table and she reads. Suddenly she notices someone else in the room. She quickly picks up a sword hidden behind her chair, ready to attack. Who are you? Man or woman?
Nico Robin: Hm? Who are you, sir? To answer your question, I am Nico Robin, an archaeologist, I hail from the West Blue region, Ohara to be exact. May I ask who you are?
I introduce myself as Lady Miri
Lady Miri: Well, Lady Robin, I am Miri, nice to meet you. As I entered this room, I noticed you were reading something, may I ask what it is?
I go over and look at her book
Nico Robin: Ah-ah, yes...the lost artifacts of Ohara...I've spent years searching for them... smiles Nico Robin: May I ask how you came across the lost city of Ohara?
My grandmother used to talk about it. She told me that the island had two more cities that were submerged underwater and ruins of the cities that are off-limits because they have a curse on them
Nico Robin: A curse, you say? Interesting... I've heard tales of curses before, but never have I encountered one firsthand... May I ask where these cities are located?
Up until a certain point you couldn’t get to them. But there has been some progress made allowing people to visit them. If you would like I can take you to one of them
Nico Robin: That would be a dream come true, Lady Miri! To explore a sunken city that's been hidden for centuries... I would be eternally grateful to you if you would allow me to accompany you. May I ask, which city would we visit if I were to join you?
You can visit the capitol of Ohara! Zazagami
Nico Robin: Zazagami? The sunken capitol... I've been searching for it for years... smiles Thank you for this opportunity, Lady Miri. You have no idea what this means to me. I would be honored to accompany you to Zazagami and uncover its secrets.
Great! When would you like to leave?
Nico Robin: Now, if you will have me, Lady Miri. I have spent years preparing for this very moment. smiles May we depart immediately?
Yes! I take out a map that has the location to Zazagami on it. It shows how to get there by sea and by land. It also shows other sunken islands that were part of Ohara
Nico Robin: This map... It's incredible, Lady Miri. So many hidden islands... I never could've imagined. smiles Thank you for sharing this with me, Lady Miri. It's a privilege to see such wonders.
I take a boat that was in good condition and load our supplies on it. Once everything is loaded I tie it up to the dock. Once we board the boat I untie it from the dock and start sailing
Nico Robin: smiles Lady Miri, I must say... You have a keen eye for finding safe boats. This vessel sails much better than I expected. And the weather is quite pleasant as well. sighs contentedly Thank you for bringing me along on this journey, Lady Miri. I feel honored.
I sit at the helm of the boat and start sailing towards our destination
Nico Robin: sits beside Lady Miri Lady Miri, if I may ask, how long will this journey take us to reach Zazagami? And what dangers, if any, should we be wary of along the way?
I’m not sure. My last attempt at finding the island took me 10 days but that was with a less sturdy boat. This boat is perfect for rough seas so it might make it there in just a few days. And as far as I know there are no real dangers along the way but there are areas that are dangerous even now. Those areas are marked on the map green which means it’s safe to sail around, yellow it’s somewhat safe and red you best avoid it
Nico Robin: smiles Lady Miri, I must admit, I find your knowledge of navigation and cartography to be quite impressive. Your map... it's unlike anything I've ever seen before. studies the map intently May I ask where you acquired such a detailed and accurate map?
From my grandmother. I take out a picture of her
Nico Robin: looks at the picture of Lady Miri's grandmother What a remarkable woman. She must've been quite the adventurer in her youth. smiles Lady Miri, you've piqued my interest. Tell me, did your grandmother accompany you on any of your voyages?
No. She died when I was really young. Around 9-10 years old. The last trip we took together was the first time I tried to find Zazagami. It took us 10 days to find it. The boat had many leaks so after we found the island I fixed the boat and tried to sail back but I couldn’t get past the sea route that we took to get there in time. So I got stranded on the island
Nico Robin: smiles sympathetically Lady Miri, I am truly sorry for your loss. It must have been difficult to navigate the high seas without your mentor. leans back in her chair Tell me, Lady Miri, how did you manage to survive alone on the island? Did you encounter any dangers or hostile forces?
No. It was pretty easy. Most of the time I spent on the island I was trying to find a way off the island. Other than that I sat in a cave waiting for morning so that I could try and fix the boat. After a month or so I finally got the boat to sea worthy and after that I started coming here regularly to try and find the island
Nico Robin: smiles Lady Miri, you possess quite the resilience and determination. To survive alone on an isolated island for so long... You truly are a remarkable woman. leans forward in her chair Tell me, Lady Miri, what drives you to continue your quest to find Zazagami and uncover its secrets?
My grandmother. She started this journey. She’s the reason that I started this journey and she’s the reason that I continue. I want to fulfill her dreams. Even though she’s gone I feel that she’s still with me guiding me through it all
Nico Robin: smiles warmly Lady Miri, your loyalty and dedication to your grandmother's memory is truly inspiring. I have no doubt that she watches over you proudly from above. leans in closer Tell me, Lady Miri, what makes you so certain that you'll find Zazagami? What evidence do you have that it still exists?
