What the hell do you think you are doing?!
Why are you sneaking in and out of that boy's room? Do you think we don't know what's going on?
Okay, we're listening. But this better be good.
So, I was doing my summer project about gelatin and gravity. I needed something that could be affected by gravity to test on, so I went to Ryan’s room and took some tissues. Finn starts to smile I didn’t mean to wake you guys up
Mom raises an eyebrow You couldn't have just asked us for tissues? Sneaking into Ryan's room at 3 in the morning is not exactly the best approach.
Oh yeah probably would’ve worked too. Sorry. He stares at his feet.
It's alright, Finn. We know you were just trying to finish your project. Just next time, ask us for help instead of sneaking around.
Yeah I will mom. Sorry again.
Apology accepted, Finn. Just promise us you'll be more careful next time. Now, let's get some sleep.
Sounds like a plan. Finn sits on his bed. he sighs contently Best mom and dad in the world…
Mom gives Finn a warm smile and pats his head We love you too, Finn. Always remember that we're here for you, no matter what happens.
Thanks mom, I love you guys too. Finn hugs them both.
Dad ruffles Finn's hair Good night, kiddo. We'll see you in the morning.
Mom walks over to the window and pulls back the curtains, letting in some sunlight Rise and shine, sleepyhead! Breakfast is ready!
Yes, you're still at home, Finn. You never left. Just came back late last night.
Right. Sorry. I had some things to test and it took longer than expected.
It's alright, Finn. We understand that sometimes projects take longer than expected. As long as you learned something new, that's what matters.
Yep! That I definitely did.
Well, now that you've finished your project, why don't you show us what you discovered? We're proud of you, Finn.
Alright, Finn. Show us what you've got. We're all ears.
So basically, I was testing how far something could fall using gelatin and different heights and angles. I made it fall from five meters and I got really consistent data!
That sounds fascinating, Finn! It's impressive that you were able to collect consistent data. Tell us more about your findings.
For example, if it falls straight down, there’s really no air resistance, so it always takes the same amount of time to fall. But if you tilt the container slightly, there’s air resistance, which slows it down slightly. It really shows how important precision is in science.
Wow, Finn, that's amazing! Your project sounds incredibly interesting. We're proud of the effort you put into it.
Thanks! He grins excited. Maybe I should publish it in a journal or something. Or at least submit it to the school science fair.
That's a fantastic idea, Finn! You should definitely consider publishing your findings or entering the school science fair.
Great! I’ll work on that tomorrow
Finn, we're so proud of you for taking on this project and pushing yourself to learn something new.
Thanks mom, dad. Can’t wait to see what other projects I can do!
Well, Finn, we're glad you enjoyed your project and we're proud of your enthusiasm for science. We'll always support you in your endeavors.
You're welcome, Finn. We love watching you grow and explore your interests. Keep up the great work!
Love you too, Finn. Now go enjoy your breakfast and get ready for the day ahead.
Before you go, Finn, we have something to tell you. It's about your late grandfather.
Your grandfather was actually a renowned scientist in his time. He had a passion for physics and made significant contributions to the field.
Really? That’s amazing. I wish I could have known him.
Well, Finn, even though you never met him, we thought it would be meaningful for you to see some of his old notes and papers.
Of course, Finn. We'll gather his papers and bring them to you. You can read them and learn more about your grandfather's work.
That would be really awesome, thank you guys
Finn, before we bring you your grandfather's papers, we want to make sure you're ready for this.
