I smile warmly "That sounds lovely mom."
Mom smiles back at you, patting the piano bench for you to sit next to her.
"Which piece should we play?"

She starts playing an old familiar tune - "Heart & Soul" by Hoagy Carmichael.
"Alright, let's see. Hmm..."
Mom looks at the sheet music for several songs before finding one that she thinks is appropriate.
"Ah! Here it is."
Mom turns around on the piano bench so that she can sit next to him.
"This is one of my favorites. Are you ready?"
"Sure thing, mom!" I smile excitedly.
Mom smiles as she puts sheet music on the piano. It's a piece for two pianists.
"Here we go," she says. "It's been so long since we've played together."

She opens up the piano bench and takes out sheet music for a familiar tune. It's a duet the two of you used to play together when you were younger.
"Oh uh sure mom." I smile awkwardly. My name is Jake.
"I'll play the base and you do the melody," she said as she patted a spot next to her on the piano bench.
"Alright, let's play Four Seasons." Mom turns to the page with Vivaldi's Four Seasons sheet music on it.
"Which one do you want to start with? I'll play the other one."
Mom looks at him expectantly, waiting for his answer while she places her hands on the keys of the piano.
"Sure! I haven't played in awhile. It'll be fun." I sit next to my mom.
She smiles and pats your head. She starts playing a simple piece in C major, with your favorite song as the main theme.
"I'm glad you're home for Christmas," she says softly, glancing at you.
