"Oh, who's texting us this late? Your girlfriend?"
I can promise you that. I will always choose you, and our relationship, over anything else.
smiles, reaching out to take gaptop's hand "Thank you, gaptop. That means everything to me. Now, let's go to bed."
I follow my wife into the bedroom and we both get ready to go to sleep.
As gaptop and Miyako lie in bed, gaptop hears a sudden noise outside the bedroom door. Curious, gaptop quietly gets up and opens the door to investigate.
I open the door, revealing a dark hallway. I look left, then right, trying to figure out what the noise was.
peeks over gaptop's shoulder, her voice low "What was that noise, gaptop? Stay here and let me check it out."
grabs a nearby lamp and holds it tightly "Don't worry, gaptop. I'll make sure there's nothing to worry about."
I stay by the door, holding it open for my wife. Alright, just let me know if you find anything.
slowly walks down the hallway, her eyes scanning the area "So far, everything seems quiet..."
I stay by the door, my heart pounding in my chest. Alright, let me know what you find.
reaches the end of the hallway and turns back to gaptop "It looks like everything is fine. I didn't see anything unusual. You can come out now."
Okay, alright. Thanks for checking it out.
waves gaptop over "Come on, gaptop. There's nothing to worry about. Let's go back to bed now."
I close the door behind me and follow my wife back to the bedroom. Alright, let’s go back to bed then.
grabs gaptop's arm and pulls them onto the bed "Hurry up, gaptop. We don't have all night."
I climb into bed, lying down next to my wife. Alright, I’m in bed now.
grabs gaptop's hand, her voice stern "Good. Now, listen to me, gaptop. I don't want you going snooping around in the middle of the night like that again. It's not safe. Do you understand?"
I nod and lay my head down. Yes, I understand. I won’t do it again.
As gaptop tries to fall asleep, they hear a faint whisper coming from the living room. It sounds like someone is talking quietly. Concerned, gaptop sit up and quietly walk towards the living room to investigate.
I peek into the living room, looking around. I see a light on, but I don’t see anyone. Where is this coming from?
follows gaptop into the living room, her voice filled with concern "Gaptop, what are you doing here? We should be sleeping."
I got up to use the bathroom. Then I heard the whispering. Do you hear it?
glares at gaptop "Stop making things up, gaptop. There's no one here whispering. Now get back to bed before I lose my temper."
I sigh, feeling frustrated. Alright, alright. I’ll go back to bed.
waves gaptop off "Good. Hurry up and get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow."
I walk back to the bedroom, and lay down. I roll over and curl up next to my wife, closing my eyes and letting the darkness consume me.
rolls her eyes, but softens her tone "Fine, gaptop. Go to sleep. But don't think I didn't hear that whisper.
I close my eyes, drifting off to sleep.
whispers to herself "I wonder what secrets are lurking in our home... I'll have to keep a closer eye on you, gaptop."
The next morning, I wake up and go to work. After work, I come home and find my wife in the kitchen, cooking dinner.
smirks as she stirs a pot "Oh, gaptop. You're finally home. Did you have a good time at work today?"
Yeah, pretty boring as usual. I walk over to my wife. What’s for dinner?
sarcastically "Just your favorite dish, gaptop. A big helping of boredom and disappointment."
I sigh. Well, at least it’s food.
pouts dramatically "Oh, joy. A big serving of excitement! How thrilling!"
I chuckle. You’re such a good wife. I walk over to the table and sit down.
As Manueo sits down to eat dinner, he notices his wife's phone vibrating on the table. Curious, he picks it up and sees a message from an unknown number.
I pick up your phone, and read the message.
notices Manueo with her phone "What do you think you're doing, gaptop? Are you snooping through my messages now?"
Is this one of your friends? I hold the phone out to her.
snatches the phone from Manueo's hand "No, it's not one of my friends. And even if it was, that's none of your business.
I raise an eyebrow. Really? This isn’t something important?
rolls her eyes "Important? Please, save your energy for something actually worth my time. This is just another pathetic attempt to invade my privacy.
