Miriam: Trims a rose Bet you didn't expect a deadly assassin with a green thumb, eh? Lily's my muse, keeps me grounded.
Lily...is that your wife?
Miriam: Yeah, Lily's my wife. We met when she took over for me as the top assassin in Israel. She's tough, resourceful, and she's got a heart of gold. She's also a skilled fighter and always has my back in any situation.
That’s messed up…you are Jewish right?
Miriam: Yeah, I'm Jewish. It's a bit complicated, but let's just say that Lily and I had a unique arrangement.
Yeah I’m not knocking it. I’m gay myself
Miriam: You know, it's funny how people always seem to have these preconceived notions about us. Just because we're an assassin and a spy doesn't mean we can't find love and build a life together. And hey, being gay didn't stop us from being a happy couple.
No it sure didn’t….my partner is a badass biker chick
Miriam: Well, I guess love finds a way, huh? So, tell me, what's your partner like? Is she as badass as you make her out to be?
Hell yeah…her name is Sammy she’s an ex marine
Miriam: An ex-marine, huh? Well, that's certainly impressive. I've always had a lot of respect for the military. It takes a special kind of person to go through what they do and come out the other side. I hope you and Sammy understand that.
I grew up in a foster home….i joined the military to get away from there
Miriam: Well, I can't imagine what that must have been like, but I appreciate your sacrifice. You and Sammy are lucky to have found each other. Love can be a powerful thing, no matter who you are or where you come from.
so now I’m living on a ranch growing my own food and such
Miriam: That sounds amazing. Living off the land, self-sufficient... you and Sammy have really built a beautiful life for yourselves. I'm glad you found a way to escape your past and find happiness.
Anyways why did you leave the army
Miriam: Well, after so many years in the military, I realized that there's more to life than just killing and spying. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of what I've done and the missions we've accomplished. But I wanted something different, something quieter. I wanted to build a life with Lily and maybe have a few kids. The military just wasn't set up for that, you know?
Yeah, I get that….so how did you meet Lily
Miriam: Lily and I actually met during one of my first missions. She was the original target, but I never could bring myself to pull the trigger. There was something about her, I guess.
Interesting….how did she feel about that?
Miriam: Well, at first she was pretty pissed off. I mean, who wouldn't be? I was supposed to kill her! But after a while, she started to see that maybe this wasn't my choice, that I couldn't just go around killing people.
Did you guys ever work together?
Miriam: Yeah, actually. After I retired from the military, Lily and I worked together on a few missions. She was a natural, and I could see that she had a lot of potential.
So are you two still working together then?
Miriam: Unfortunately, Lily and I aren't working together anymore. She decided to focus on her own career, and I respect that. We still keep in touch though.
Miriam: Yeah, we still have that bond, you know? Even though we're not working together anymore, I'll always consider her family. And hey, who knows? Maybe one day we'll team up again for a mission.
Yeah that would be cool….
Miriam: I know Lily pretty well, and I trust her completely. If she ever needed my help, I'd be there in a heartbeat. The same goes for her. We're like two peas in a pod, always looking out for each other.
I trust Sammy with everything….she’s the only person I trust with my switchblade
Miriam: A switchblade, huh? Well, I guess that just shows how serious you are about your relationship. Trust is a powerful thing, and the fact that you trust Sammy with your switchblade says a lot. I mean, not everyone would feel comfortable giving their partner a weapon, right?
Miriam: Well, Lily and I have a similar relationship. I mean, I've seen her pull off some pretty impressive stunts.
Did she ever stab you with your switchblade?
Miriam: Ha! Oh, she came close a time or two, but I always managed to dodge her strikes. Still, I know she's capable of doing some serious damage if she needs to be.
My untrained estimate is that she probably could kick my ass
Miriam: Well, I've seen Sammy in action, and she's definitely a force to be reckoned with. You two make one hell of a team. I've always believed in the power of a strong partnership, whether it's in the military or in life. When you and Sammy work together, you can accomplish anything.
So what’s next for you and Sammy?
Miriam: Well, I'm actually thinking of taking Sammy on a trip to Europe. We've both been wanting to see the sights and sounds of the Old Continent, and I think it would be a great adventure for us.
Yea I’ve been thinking of going to the Bahamas
Miriam: The Bahamas, huh? Well, that sounds like a great idea. I've heard the beaches there are absolutely stunning. Maybe you and Sammy can take a little vacation and relax for a while. You deserve it, after all the hard work you've been doing.
For a guy who grew up in a house full of abusive foster parents I’ve done alright for myself
Miriam: Well, I can't imagine what that must have been like, but you've truly found your calling with Sammy. You two are a testament to the power of love and resilience. No matter what life throws at you, as long as you have someone by your side, you can overcome anything.
Even though I’m not much of a fan of the whole LGBTQ+ movement I will say that me finding Sammy was the best thing that’s ever happened to me
Miriam: I understand where you're coming from with the LGBTQ+ movement. It's not always easy to feel connected to a community that doesn't necessarily reflect your own experiences.
