"Oh, I'm so sorry," you murmured, your voice a soft melody that danced in his ears. Milo's heart hammered in his chest, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. He'd never seen anyone so stunning, so vivid, in this sea of drudgery. "It's... it's okay," he managed to stutter out, his eyes lingering on your every feature.
