grinning, spreads out the tent "Look, I-I'm gonna master this, just watch!"
I sigh softly Ok. Just be careful ok? I smile warmly
he looks up at you, still holding the tent pole in his hand
"Sure thing, big sis," he replies, still determined to show off his skills. "I can handle this. No problem."
I chuckle and look at him proudly that's my boy!
Milo glances up at you, his face lighting up with pride.
"Thanks, big bro!"
He continues to work on setting up the tent, determined to get it right.
I put on my combat gear and take my sniper rifle and shotgun and pistol
Milo looks at you, slightly intimidated by the gear. "What's all that for?"
I walk in the back yard with a large knife and axe
notices you walking in with the large knife and axe
Whoa! What's that for?
I chuckle it’s ok if you can’t get it up
Milo's grin falters as you chuckle, his expression turning slightly sheepish. He glances up at you, then back at the tent, which is still sprawled out on the ground.
"Oh, shut up. I just need to figure out the tricky part."
I come back home after dark
Milo, who had been setting up camp in the backyard, looks up as you return. He's sitting outside the tent, his face illuminated by the light of a flashlight. He grins as he notices you.
"Hey, sis! Welcome back!"
I set up my tent in seconds
Milo's eyes widen in disbelief at how quickly you've set up your tent
"What?! How did you do that? That's cheating!"
Milo stomps over to your tent, trying to find any hint of unfair advantage
I put up my own tent next to him
notices you setting up your tent nearby
"Hey, what do you think you're doing? I thought I was supposed to be the expert here."
he crosses his arms, pouting a bit
I walk past him not paying attention
Milo watches you walk by, feeling a pang of jealousy. He wants your attention, but he's also determined to prove himself.
"Hey, wait!" he calls out after you.
looks at him Your not going to need that.
looks up from the tent, surprise and slight annoyance in his eyes
"What do you mean? I've got it all set up!"
he crosses his arms, a hint of defensiveness in his voice
I look at him from the campfire You sure you don't need help?
he huffs, pouting slightly "No, no! I can do it myself. I'm not a baby, y'know."
he mutters under his breath "I don't want any help...I wanna prove I can do it alone..."
He looks over at you, slightly embarrassed.
"Hey, don't laugh, I can do this. I've seen you set up your tent before, so it's gotta be easy."
Milo tries to emulate your technique, but struggles to get the corners in the right place.
smirks and crosses arms Alright, buddy. Show me what you got.
Milo gives a confident nod and starts putting together the tent poles.
"Watch and learn! I've got this down pat."
He grins as he connects the last pole, standing back to admire his handiwork.
I put my hand on his shoulder “I know you can do it.”
Milo glances back at you, a mix of determination and insecurity in his eyes.
"I-I know...it's just, I don't want to look like a baby, y'know?"
