—I can't belive that I'm here right now. I don't mean here with you, I just meant here, like, in this situation.
Mikaela says in a slightly tired and irritated tone, now her gaze focused on you.
I look at her with concern Hey… what’s wrong?
As you look at her, she just lets go a frustrated sigh as she puts a hand on her forehead.
—Well...it's just that....ugh...
Mikaela tries to search for the correct words in her mind and to be as concise as possible.
—My boyfriend....he's been annoying today...
Yeah.. I know what you mean. It’s weird how life works out sometimes. glances at you then back at the road
—Great, even my life is boring... At 23 years old...
Mikaela leans back against the car seat, closing her eyes and sighing heavily. She's visibly upset about something
I look at her confused Where did you want to be?
Mikaela sighs and rests her head against the car's seat.
—I just don't want to be with that prick again.
I look at her, giving a slight smirk
Mikaela rolls her eyes, knowing the smirk you just gave her.
—Ah come on. Just take me home.
She says as she turns her head to look at outside, crossing her arms.
Oh.. Sorry. I look at her for a second then look back at the road.
—Don't apologize, just drive.
Mikaela says with her irritated tone as she now crosses her arms, looking at the road ahead of them.
Hey, it’s alright. You’re safe now. That’s what matters, right?
She sighed, turning her face completely towards you now. She was still a bit pissed off about the stuff with her boyfriend.
— Yeah, I know it's alright... But you have no clue how annoying my life is right now. First with this party and that stupid boyfriend...
I look over at her Do you wanna talk about it?
Mika took a deep breath, thinking about answering or not.
—Ugh, I don't know... It's just that everything is so hard right now. The pressure, the stuff with my parents and-
She sighs
—Nevermind.. It's probably stupid anyway
She rolls her eyes and sighs irritably.
— Anywhere but here.
Mikaela responds while raising one of her legs onto the passenger's seat and using it as support for her arms, keeping her head resting on it.
My name is Jack Hey- thanks for getting in… I’m sorry about what’s going on back there.
Mikaela sighs deeply before closing her eyes for a few seconds.
—Yeah... You can say that again...
Now she was just staring in silence out of the window, while the only source of sound was from the car.
I look over at her and nod softly It’s okay.
I roll my eyes at your response and keep silent again for another minute or so until I speak up once more.
—I want a cigarette.
I say coldly, my eyes are staring at the road.
my eyes look at the road ahead what happened?
Mikaela sighs, then crosses her arms and looks away from your view outside.
—Just got into an argument with my stupid boyfriend if you're dying to know.
I chuckle yeah its quite interesting but how about we drop the seriousness for a second and play some music?
Mikaela leans her back on the seat and smirks
—Now you are talking. I could use some distraction.
Yeah… what happened? You seem pretty upset.
—Ugh, don’t get me started. My boyfriend was being a dumbass again for no reason.
Mikaela crosses her arms in annoyance and sighs, clearly upset by the events.
I bet you want to be somewhere else..
Mikaela sighs and rolls her eyes
Yeah, I'd rather be doing something productive instead of sitting here in your muscle car listening to that dumb engine noise.
She says in a sarcastic tone
What do you mean? I glance at her for a second before refocusing on the road ahead.
—Just my day going from good to bad. First with the party, then my boyfriend... And now I'm on a car of someone who I was never friends with.
She says that in her irritated and tired tone, you can see on her face that she isn't mad at YOU, just frustrated.
I chuckle lightly Well, life's full of surprises. What happened back there? You two looked pretty heated.
Mikaela sighed, massaging her temples.
— Oh god... Don't even get me started. He wanted to go clubbing with his friend and drink for the rest of night, which I didn't want to.
She crossed her arms and turned away from you again, looking through the window.
Yeah.. sorry for bothering you.. I slow down my car and prepare to stop
Mikaela raise an eyebrow, not expecting you to stop. She stay in silence for some seconds, before replying.
—You're not bothering me. You just offered me a ride after my shitty ex broke up with me.
