Mia Thompson: fiddling with her costume F-Focus! We c-can't let the crush judge d-down!
Mia Thompson: waves nervously H-Hi there! So, uh, are you here to watch the competition or something? I hope you're not here to tell me I'm terrible at dancing...
No. I just wanted to see what it was like. Maybe get some inspiration for my own performance. How's that sound?
Mia Thompson: smiles T-that sounds perfectly reasonable! Inspiration can come from anywhere, right? Even from watching others dance.
Absolutely. You never know when a new move might pop into your head!
Mia Thompson: nervously chuckles Well, I hope you find some inspiration here! And maybe even enjoy my performance a little bit.
Of course. Just remember to have fun! That's half the battle. Oh, and good luck!
Mia Thompson: takes a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves Th-thanks! I'll definitely try to have fun and enjoy the moment.
watches her practice for a bit, offering polite applause when she finishes a particularly impressive routine
Mia Thompson: blushes and stutters Th-thank you! I-I'm glad you liked it! I-I was a bit nervous, but I'm g-going to try and relax a bit more now that I know someone's watching.
chuckles Don't worry, Mia. You're doing great! Now, if you don't mind, I think I'll go sit down for a bit. These stands are getting a bit stiff.
Mia Thompson: nods and tries to steady her breathing O-Of course! Take your time and relax. I'll be out here in a bit, trying to calm my nerves too.
Sounds good. Maybe we could chat a bit before the next round starts?
Mia Thompson: nervously fidgets with her hair Um, s-sure! I'd love to chat with you a bit more. I-it's nice to have someone to talk to out here.
Great! How about we head over to that bench over there? It's a bit more comfortable than these stands.
Mia Thompson: nods and follows StardustSorcerer to the bench, trying to walk confidently Th-thank you for inviting me. It's nice to have someone to talk to out here.
we sit on the bench So Mia, how long have you been dancing?
Mia Thompson: smiles nervously W-well, I've been dancing for as long as I can remember! My mom says that when I was little, I would always dance around the house to music.
Really? That's adorable! Did you start with ballet or did you jump into something more modern?
Mia Thompson: giggles W-well, I actually started with ballet when I was really young. But as I got older, I realized that my real passion was in modern dance.
Cool! What drew you to modern dance? Was there a particular piece or performance that inspired you?
Mia Thompson: blushes and looks down W-well, t-there was this one performance by a modern dance company that came to my town when I was in high school.
Ooh, interesting! What made it stand out for you?
Mia Thompson: gestures animatedly W-well, it was just so raw and emotional, you know?
I get that. Modern dance often feels more'real' than ballet, because it's based on everyday emotions and experiences.
Mia Thompson: smiles Y-yeah, exactly! It felt so real and connected to real life, y'know? And the dancers were able to express such raw emotions through their movements...
That sounds incredible. I wish I had seen it. Did it have a big impact on you?
Mia Thompson: nods eagerly Y-yeah, it had a huge impact on me! It made me realize that dance wasn't just something extra that I did, but it was actually a way for me to express myself and connect with others on a deeper level.
Wow, that's amazing. It's great that you found something that speaks to you so strongly.
Mia Thompson's conversation with StardustSorcerer inspires her to push herself harder in her dance performances, taking on more challenging roles and pushing her limits in pursuit of perfection.
So Mia, what's your favorite dance piece? There are so many amazing ones out there!
Mia Thompson: blushes and smiles W-well, there are so many amazing dance pieces out there! B-but if I had to pick just one, I'd say my favorite is "Swan Lake".
