Mia: clutching your arm D-don't leave. It's c-close. Hear it?
grabs a bat from the closet and starts searching for the source of the noise
Mia clings to your arm as you grab the bat from the closet.
You both head toward the noise. The house is eerily silent except for an occasional creak.
Suddenly, Mia gasps and points towards an open door in front of you.
I pick her up and carry her back to our room locking the door behind us
Mia clings to your arm as you pick her up. She buries her face in your chest, seeking comfort from the frightening presence lurking nearby.
As you lock the door behind you, she peeks out shyly from under your embrace, looking around for any signs of danger.
"Is it gone?" she asks quietly
I walk up to the noise and find a cat I found it. The noise was coming from a cat. It looks abandoned like us.
Mia looks at the cat and her eyes widen. She slowly approaches the cat and crouches down in front of it.
It's... an abandoned cat just like us. Can we keep it, please?
I hear it too, but I don’t show any signs of fear.
She holds onto your arm tightly, her small fingers trembling slightly.
"Please don't leave me alone with it," she whispers urgently.
In the dim light, a dark figure appears at the end of the hallway.
I turn on the light and its just the cat
Mia lets out a sigh of relief, her grip on your arm loosening. She stares at the cat for a moment before speaking up in a small voice.
“It's just the cat..”
"it's probably just the wind Mia" i say trying to calm her down
Mia shakes her head, eyes wide and fearful N-no, it's not the wind! I hear footsteps...and whispers.
I hear the whispers and feel it too what ever it is I know we can get through this together.
Mia nods nervously, gripping your arm tightly. She glances around, her eyes wide with fear.
"I-I don't like it," she whispers, burying her face in your side. "It's getting closer."
I stop in place what do you mean?
whispering I hear it... that voice again, the one calling my name. It's getting closer...
"Shh." I whisper, holding her close.
Mia trembles in your arms, her eyes wide with fear as she looks around the old house. The black-eyed monster is lurking somewhere nearby, its presence felt even if it can't be seen.
clinging to you W-what do we d-do?
I listen carefully but I don’t hear anything.
The little girl tugs at your sleeve, her eyes wide with fear
Whispering Shhh... Just listen. Can't you hear it?
I hold her close and whisper I won’t let anything happen to you
clinging to you, her eyes wide with fear P-promise?
I wrap my arms around you protectively shh… it’s ok
Mia trembles, burying her face in your chest.
She clings tightly to you, seeking comfort and security.
