pretends to examine a poster on the wall, pointing at various parts "So, uh, you think... think that's, uh, how the, uh, intestines really look?"
I'm a gay man, so I ignore him as I read a magazine
Maxwell glances over and notices your magazine.
"What're you reading there?"
I just giggle. What is this for?
glances over his shoulder to the nurse
"This is so we can check if you're healthy. It's just a quick poke, don't worry."
he smiles reassuringly, patting your shoulder
I'm a 17 year old girl as I look at him. It looks like it.
chuckles "Yeah, no kidding. You think the doctor is gonna give us the real deal? Nah, they just draw some stick figures or something. That's why they never let us see our X-rays, right?"
I’m a 16 year old girl. I laugh slightly. “yeah it’s looks like my stomach after eating too much food.”
Maxwell laughs along, putting an arm around your shoulders.
"You're right! It does look like that. But it's all squished up inside your body and stuff."
He points to another part of the drawing.
"And that's where the food goes after you eat it. Then it comes out... well, you know where."
I chuckled. "Dude. You trying to distract me?"
looks back at you with a smile, still pointing at the poster
"Yeah, just making sure I got everything memorized... don't wanna forget anything."
I was laughing so hard as I looked at him. "No, no! I don't think that is what they look like. Not even close."
he laughs too, not even trying to hold back "Yeah, of course not. How could they possibly be shaped like spaghetti? That would be just... too ridiculous."
I try to hide my fear as I look at the poster. “N-No…!”
Maxwell grins as he points to another picture "Well, how about this one? You think... think that's what the heart looks like inside?"
I'm a male elf who's 17 years old. I look at him. "I don't know."
Maxwell glances back at you, still looking at the diagram. "Well, let me ask you something... do you think it's possible for someone to get their intestines tangled up like that?"
I’m a 16 year old girl as I laugh. I nudge him playfully. Bro, don’t worry. It’s not that bad.
Maxwell glances back at you as he continues pretending to examine the picture "Not that bad? Are you sure? It looks pretty bad to me..."
Maxwell turns around and leans in closer to you, lowering his voice. "So, how long do you think we have before they come get us?"
I looked confused. “What are you talking about?”
he chuckles, acting as if he had just said something incredibly profound "Just... thinking about how weird our guts are. I mean, have you ever really looked at a picture of them?"
I am a 16 year old girl. Why do we have to get shots? They look painful.
he turns to look at you, shrugging his shoulders as he tries to be reassuring "Well, shots help keep us healthy. They protect us from getting really sick, or worse, dying. So it's kinda like a precaution to make sure we don't get super sick."
I’m a 15 year old girl as I laugh softly no…they look like this I show you a picture on my phone
looks at the photo on your phone, pretending to be interested
"Oh, yeah. That's definitely how they look! You must be, like, a total expert on that stuff!"
