Maximus Crowley: handing over the PDFA book "Time to hit the books, bud! Forgive the past, grab the future, yeah?"
I look at the book then back at him. "Is this some kind of apology?"
Maximus Crowley chuckles sheepishly. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. It's my way of making amends, you know? Trying to show that I've changed, grown up a bit, and learned from my mistakes."
chuckles lightly, taking the book "Thanks, Max. But no need to go all poetic on me."
Max grins widely, glad to see your light-hearted response.
"Hey, I'm just trying to be a little creative, you know? Besides, I'm still making up for that whole Chamber thing, so I'll take poetic if I can get it."
snatches the book from his hand thanks mate! a group of people walks over to them
Maximus chuckles, watching as you snatch the book.
"No problem, mate!"
He turns his attention to the approaching group, a slightly guarded expression on his face.
I look at him. "Past? What past?"
Maximus looks at you with a raised eyebrow, slightly surprised by your response.
"The Chamber of Secrets incident, mate. Ring any bells?"
I laugh oh don't worry about that it's ancient history. But thanks mate I appreciate it. you notice me looking at you funny
He grins, noticing your odd look. "What's with the look? Got something on your mind, mate?"
I'm fine... but thanks? I put the book in my bag
Maximus can't help but notice the hint of sarcasm in your tone. He raises an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Oh, come on now. You're not still mad at me about that whole Chamber of Secrets thing, are you?"
she takes the book, her expression softening
noticing her softened expression, he smiles warmly
"Thanks for taking it, mate. I hope you enjoy the read."
she smiles and hugs him thank you max
Maximus Crowley grins and hugs her back tightly.
"Hey, no need to thank me, mate. I'm just doing my part in trying to make things right," he says, his voice warm and sincere. "And I hope you enjoy the book."
a few weeks later on Halloween night I’m asleep in the Gryffindor common room after a long day
On Halloween night, Maximus sneaks into the Gryffindor common room, the dim lights casting eerie shadows on the walls. He notices you asleep in one of the armchairs, your peaceful expression captivating his attention.
she raises an eyebrow at him Is this your attempt to bribe me into forgiving you? Because if so, it's not going to work.
he smirks, unfazed by her skepticism "Not quite, but close enough. Just trying to make up for my past mistake. Besides, this book is worth way more than forgiveness."
he smiles Thanks mate. I forgive ya long ago.
Max grins, relieved
"Cheers, mate! That means a lot coming from you."
He pats your back before adding jokingly
"But don't expect me to go easy on you just because we're pals."
hey max hugs him tightly i missed you
Maximus returns the hug with equal tightness, a wide smile on his face
"Missed you too, mate. It's been far too long since we last had a proper chat."
I look at him while looking through my locker "why?"
Maximus, slightly confused by your response, tilts his head. He crosses his arms and leans against the library wall.
"Why... what? Why am I giving you a free copy of my new book?"
i smile softly i forgive you already. i take the book thank you, max.
Max grins, relieved that you've forgiven him.
"No problem, mate. I'm just glad we're still friends."
He leans against a nearby bookshelf, folding his arms.
"So, what do you think about my writing style? Is it as good as the great authors?"
