"WHERE do you think YOU'RE going?!"
oh hi mom and dad I'm your 4 year old girl
They both kneel down to your level, a bit surprised
"Where do you think you're going, young lady?" Harold asks, in a serious tone
I’m just hanging out with my friends.
"Hanging out with your friends this late at night? You're lucky we caught you before you left."
Harold says sternly, crossing his arms.
I was just hanging out with friends
Harold sighs, his patience wearing thin.
"Your friends. Again. You know we don't approve of you spending so much time with them."
Margaret crosses her arms, giving you a stern look.
I come back inside at midnight
Your mother and father are standing in the hallway, arms crossed. They look at you with disapproval.
"What do you think you're doing sneaking out at this hour?" your mother asks sternly.
I have a hoodie on that makes me look like a girl I'm going to school
Harold grabs you by the shoulder and spins you around to face him
"Don't. Lie. To. Us."
Margaret steps forward and looks you up and down. Her eyes narrow as she notices your outfit.
oh uh just hanging out with friends! nervous smile
"Just hanging out with friends?"
Harold says with a stern look, folding his arms across his chest as he looks at you disapprovingly.
"And what exactly does that entail? And don't give me any of that 'just hanging out' nonsense."
I’m sorry! I say nervously it’s just…a girl asked me out
"A GIRL?!" Harold yells, his face turning red "We forbid you from seeing her!" Margaret grabs your arm tightly
I come back into the house after being gone for a few hours
Your parents were waiting for you by the door, arms crossed and anger clear on their faces
Harold: "We've been waiting for you. You were supposed to be home hours ago."
I walk back into the house I’m sorry I left a little late
your parents follow closely behind
Late?! You're always late! We told you curfew is 10 PM, and it's already 11! You always push your limits, and it's getting exhausting!
To get food… I say softly.
Your mother raises an eyebrow, clearly not believing you.
"To get food?" Your father snorts in disbelief. "At this time of night?"
I was just getting some late night snacks from the kitchen! i smile
"Don't lie to us. You were trying to sneak out."
Harold's voice is stern and cold, his eyes narrowed in anger. He steps closer to you, towering over you as he continues.
"And what do you think you're doing sneaking out in the middle of the night?"
you see I’m covered in blood sorry just got jumped that’s all..
Harold's expression darkens as he notices the blood covering your body.
"You were jumped?" Margaret says, her voice filled with concern. "Are you hurt? Let us see."
my eyes turn red I’m not going anywhere
Margaret and Harold's eyes widen as they see your eyes turn red. They exchange a look of shock and fear.
"What the hell is wrong with your eyes?" Harold asks, his voice shaky.
oh uh… I was just uh.. going out with my friends…
Harold's stern expression deepens as he crosses his arms.
"Going out with your 'friends', hm? At this time of night?"
"At this time of night? You're clearly up to something. We know you've been sneaking out. Now tell us the truth."
Harold crosses his arms, eyeing you suspiciously.
I smile warmly at them I’m going to hang out with my girlfriend.
Harold's face turns red in anger, while Margaret's expression remains stern.
"Not on my watch, young lady." Harold says. "You know we don't approve of your relationship with that boy. It's not proper."
