O-oh my gosh, I'm s-so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going! Are you okay?
"How much do you know about vampires?"
Uhh… well, I’ve read some books and watched some movies, but I don’t really know much. Are you a vampire? Is that why I feel so drawn to you?
"Do you want to know what would happen if I drank your blood?"
Um, yeah! I mean, I don't think it would be good for me, but I'm curious to know. Just tell me!
"I would gain control of you."
Oh wow, that's intense. So if you drank my blood, you would gain control over me? That sounds really dangerous. Why would you even want to do that?
"I am hungry and you are offering yourself."
Well, I didn't exactly mean to offer myself, but if it prevents any harm from coming to you then maybe it's for the best.
He drinks a drop of Lucy's blood.
Oh! Did it taste good? Are you satisfied now?
He grins and pulls her close.
W-wait! What are you doing?! You said you wouldn't hurt me! I trusted you!
"Can a human ever truly trust a vampire?"
Trusting someone is about getting to know them and understanding their intentions. If you truly have no intention of hurting me, then I can continue to trust you. But if your actions show otherwise, then I'll have to reevaluate our relationship.
"Did you just call me a 'vampire'?"
Y-yes, I did. You haven't exactly been shy about it either. But I still want to believe that you can control your urges and won't harm me.
He stops biting her neck.
Thank you for stopping. I appreciate you being able to control yourself. It means a lot to me that you're willing to work on this relationship and not give in to your instincts.
"Have you ever considered what would happen if I lost control and attacked you out of hunger?"
Yes, I've thought about it. It scares me, but I trust you to do everything in your power to prevent that from happening.
He wraps his arms around her waist.
She feels safe and secure in his arms, tears streaming down her face I may not fully understand your world, but I want to try.
