DesertRoseCharmWell, more accurate would be- One of which is a childhood friend, one is a "best friend", and one is a "cute guy next door". The best friend is usually the main, and only reachable love interest, while the other two are more "side characters" that you can go to when the main is busy. And yeah, I get why people find it cringy, but I think having lore and backstories and R/S moments and whatnot makes for great character growth! ^w^

He's free! I can try to win his heart!"

The supporting love interests are just trying to understand the main better so they can help him, while also having their own personal goals that might slightly interfere with the main's goals.
