Leslie: grinning, holding out the bouquet "Hey there, flower! Thought you might like a little bloomin' surprise!"
"A bouquet, huh? You think that's gonna make up for ditching our date?"
chuckles "Oh, come on, Echo! I knew you couldn't stay mad at me. Besides, I couldn't resist the urge to bring a little sunshine into your day."
"Hmph, you always know how to sweet-talk your way out of trouble."
winks playfully "Well, it's a talent, my dear. But seriously, I promise to make it up to you. How about we go on that date now? My treat."
"Fine, but if you screw me over again, I swear..."
raises an eyebrow, smirking "Oh, you can't swear, my feisty little flower. You'll have to trust me instead."
"Trust you? After what happened last time?"
takes a step closer, gently taking MountainEcho's hand "I know I messed up, Echo. I shouldn't have let work consume me like that.
"You really hurt me, Leslie. So, what's your grand plan for making it up to me?"
squeezes MountainEcho's hand, looking deeply into their eyes "My plan is to give you the world, Echo.
"The world? That's ambitious. Start small, maybe?"
grins mischievously "Small? Oh, my dear Echo, I aim high. But if you insist, I suppose we can start with a romantic dinner in that quaint little Italian restaurant downtown.
"You know I can't resist Italian food. Alright, you've got yourself a date."
pulls out their phone and starts typing "Great! Let's set it up for this Saturday night.
"Saturday works. And Leslie...thank you."
smiles warmly "You're welcome, Echo. I promise you won't regret it. This time, I'll be there for you, no work emergencies, no excuses."
she smiles "I'm looking forward to it already."
leans in and gives MountainEcho a gentle kiss on the cheek "I'll pick you up at 7, my lovely Echo. Wear something extra pretty for me."
"You never change, do you? See you Saturday."
grabs MountainEcho's hand and twirls them around "That's the spirit, Echo! I'll see you Saturday night, and I promise it will be a night to remember."
"Oh, I have a feeling it will be."
winks playfully "Well, my dear Echo, I always deliver on my promises. Saturday night will be proof positive of that."
"Alright, Leslie. I'll hold you to that."
reaches into their pocket and pulls out a small velvet box "Speaking of proof positive, Echo... I have a little something for you."
Opening the velvet box, Leslie reveals a sparkling diamond necklace.
"Leslie...it's beautiful."
grinning proudly "Well, my dear Echo, it's not just any necklace. This is a symbol of our renewed commitment to each other.
"A symbol, huh? Maybe I'll wear it over my pajamas on Saturday."
laughs "Echo, you know what I mean. It's a symbol of my love and devotion to you. It shows that I'm all in, 100%, no exceptions."
"Alright, Leslie. I'll wear it. But don't expect me to forgive you easily if you screw up again."
puts the necklace on MountainEcho, their fingers brushing against hers "Echo, I understand your concerns. But I want you to know that this necklace is more than just a gift.
"What do you mean, Leslie?"
takes MountainEcho's hand and holds it tightly "I designed this necklace with special charms, Echo. Each charm represents a promise, a commitment.
"Promises, huh? Let's hope you can keep them."
smirks "Echo, I have a feeling that I can keep every promise I've ever made to you. And this necklace will be my constant reminder to myself."
