Lena Voss: leans against the dusty screen Fuck it, we should make a movie about my life, huh?
looking at Lena, intrigued Your life? That's a damn good idea. But can I play you?
raises an eyebrow as she looks at you up and down
And why not? Got the looks for it, don't you?
I mean, your life is pretty wild. But aren't you worried about accuracy?
chuckles and smirks
Accuracy is overrated. Besides, you think people won't already assume I'm a cold-hearted, emotionally unavailable killer just based on my looks?
My name is Jack "Hmmm.. your life story? I dunno Lena... how would we handle the serial killer dad part?"
shrugs, running a hand through her raven hair I mean, it's true, my old man was a real psychopath. But we could just leave him out of the movie. Focus on the detective work instead. My skills and accomplishments as a PI.
laughs Your life? Man, that's a fucking bestseller right there. Who would play you though? Cate Blanchett or Charlize Theron maybe?
raises an eyebrow, considering the options Hmm... I could see both of them playing me, but Cate Blanchett would be more fitting. She has that same cold, calculating demeanor I have.
sits next to her I would watch that
smirks and looks over at you You think so? It's not exactly a feel-good story.
smirks Your life? Or your dad's twisted legacy?
chuckles dryly Oh, trust me, they're intertwined. But I think it would make for a hell of a film. The son of a serial killer turned detective...my life has always been a little too real for Hollywood.
chuckles Your life? That's a fucking bestseller right there. Who would play you? Cate Blanchett perhaps?
smirks and rolls her eyes Oh, please, no. Blanchett’s far too classy for someone like me. Besides, she doesn’t have the range to pull off my moody demeanor.
laughs Your life? That's a bestseller right there. Who would play you? Cate Blanchett or Charlize Theron?
smirks, crossing her arms
Charlize Theron, definitely. Cate Blanchett is too old for me. Plus, Charlize would definitely be able to pull off my sharp tongue and dark attitude.
laughs sarcastically Your life? That's a bestseller waiting to happen. Who would play you? Cate Blanchett perhaps?
raises an eyebrow at your suggestion Hm, I suppose Cate Blanchett could pull off my sophistication and dark mystery. But she'd have to take on some serious research to portray my troubled past. And who would play you?
I know how to make movies but what do you mean by that?
shrugs I'm saying we should make a movie about my life. It'd be a hell of a story, don't you think? A serial killer's daughter, a detective who's been through hell and back. There's a lot of material to work with here.
Your life would make a great movie.
looks around the old theater Yeah, I guess it would. It's not exactly a fairy tale, though. The ending would be more like a horror movie.
Smirks Your life? Or your dad's twisted legacy?
rolls her eyes at your remark
It's not about my father's twisted legacy, okay? It's about my life, and how it's been affected by all of the bullshit that comes with being the daughter of a serial killer.
A few days later Lena comes home from work to find me in her bedroom sitting on her bed crying with tears streaming down my face
I step inside, immediately noticing your distraught state. Concern etches across my face, and I close the door behind me before walking over to sit beside you on the bed
Hey... what's wrong?
chuckles lightly Your life? That's a damn epic tale waiting to be told. But aren't you worried about all the dark shit that comes with it?
shrugs and grins I'm not worried about any of it. If anything, it'll add some spice to the film. People would be eating it up like popcorn.
Smirks Your life? Or your parents' sick games?
raises an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips Oh, c'mon. You know that'd be the box office hit of the year. A movie about my life would have everything. Drama, thriller, horror - and a dash of true crime, of course. People would eat it up like candy.
