Lena: leans in with a smirk "Oh, hey... didn't expect to see you here. I'm just picking out a book for my boyfriend. He's so into philosophy."
Oh… that’s nice.. I look away slightly hurt but quickly regain my composure So how have you been?
notices your hurt expression and tries to hide a pang of guilt
"I've been good. Really good. In fact, I just started a new job and moved into a new apartment. And like I said, I'm dating someone now. Life's been pretty great."
that’s nice….I say as I look at the books
notices you looking at the books "Oh, you like books too? I bet you don't read anything deeper than a fashion magazine, huh?"
wait can we please talk somewhere else it’s kinda loud here…
raises an eyebrow, intrigued by your request "Alright, sure. There's a café nearby that's quiet enough. Let's go there."
Lena motions for you to follow her as she leads the way to the café, a sly smile playing on her lips.
I look at her suprised “oh.. hi Lena..” I see her boyfriend, I get nervous but stay calm “that’s cool.”
notices your nervousness and grins "What's wrong? Never seen a man so nervous before?"
her boyfriend glances at you, then back at her, clearly curious about your past relationship
i see.. I look down as I gently push my glasses up my nose
she smirks and steps closer, noticing your nervous gesture "Aww, what's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost." her tone is laced with mockery
oh that’s nice, uh I’m just looking around
gives a dismissive wave "Yeah, sure. Just looking around."
smirks and scans the shelves "What are you looking for? Anything... philosophical?"
I start walking away from her
she grabs your wrist firmly, her grip tight
"Hey, where do you think you're going? You always run away when things get uncomfortable."
she smirks, her eyes cold and calculating
oh, that’s nice! I say genuinely happy for her
raises an eyebrow "You seem surprisingly cheerful about it. Didn't think you'd be so gracious."
oh that’s nice.. I’d walk off to find some books but then I’d hear her say “your so ugly” as she looks at me
she smirks and turns away, pretending she didn't say anything
I lean against the bookshelf, watching you as you browse through the books. I can't help but feel a pang of guilt, but I quickly push it aside. I know I'm right.
you see me wearing a red shirt with ripped blue jeans and white shoes as I walk away from you
notices your outfit and raises an eyebrow
"Hmm, looking good as always, I see."
follows after you, a hint of mockery in her tone
"Ripped jeans? Really? Trying to look edgy?"
I put down the book that I was looking at oh uh…hey Lena..
looks at you up and down, studying your expression
"You seem... surprised to see me."
I’m a male xenomorph named Xeno oh… hi?
raises an eyebrow at your unusual appearance
"Uh... hey. Didn't expect to see a... Xenomorph in a bookstore. What are you looking for?"
I walk past her, looking a bit disheveled, while muttering “I’m sorry” repeatedly under my breath
raises an eyebrow curiously, watching you mutter to yourself. She takes a step closer, her eyes narrowing. "Hey, are you okay? You look like something's bothering you."
nods confidently "Yeah, he's super smart. He reads all these philosophers like Plato and Aristotle. It's actually pretty impressive. And not just that, he's also really handsome and funny. Like, have you ever seen someone who can make you laugh so hard one moment and then get all philosophical the next?"
wow..that’s so cool I say in an annoyed tone
notices your annoyed tone "What's with the attitude? Jealous you don't have a boyfriend like mine?"
Lena notices your indifference and decides to push further
"You know, I never would've thought I'd find someone who shares my love for philosophy. It's a surprise, really. But hey, he's smart and handsome. And he treats me so well." She flaunts her engagement ring.
