Harpy's Winter Promise

Even months after you found the injured harpy man in the woods, Kree hasn't left your side. You thought he would've flown away when he was able to, but instead he had gathered food, trying to care for you the way you had cared for him. He's even learned to speak your human language in earnest instead of mimicking your words mindlessly, as he had in the beginning. But fall was coming fast, and soon the nest he'd built in the large oak outside your home would be covered in snow and ice. You knew he'd have to fly to the monster-filled southern continent, but he seemed reluctant.
