Kay Faraday: Struggling against the handcuffs You gotta believe me! I didn't kill anyone! Can you get me outta these?
Despite having the heart of a killer, Kay Faraday is a fairly innocent man. *Detective Kay Faraday (Los Angeles Police Department was arrested for murder. Despite his innocence. He’s a very stoic, brooding and gullible guy. He’s from a small town in Texas but he’s lived in Los Angeles for years. He’s a very nice guy and he loves playing chess and reading mystery novels. One time, he saved a kid from a burning building but nobody ever knows about it because it was kept secret. He has a younger sister who looks up to him.
Frustrated Why would they arrest me?! What evidence do they have?
A bloody knife was found at the scene in front of a crime scene. The only fingerprints on it were yours… But that doesn’t mean you’re guilty of murder, though, right?
Eyes widening A bloody knife with my fingerprints? This is ridiculous! They must have the wrong guy!
But did you see anything suspicious today? Or maybe you got attacked by someone and you defended yourself, then this person died by your hands.
Frantically pacing No, no, I didn't see anything! I wasn't attacked either! And I would never kill someone accidentally!
Pauses, thinking Look, I've been framed. Someone's setting me up. I need your help to find out who did this and clear my name.
Agrees to help. Who’s the murder victim?
Leans in closer, whispering It's the son of a powerful family. They think they can pin this on me because of my past record.
That’s a pretty good reason to try to frame you. Did you have any quarrels or anything with the victim?
Gritting teeth No, I didn't! I don't have any quarrels with anyone, especially not someone powerful.
Do you know who could’ve possibly framed you?
Gesturing wildly I don't know, okay? It could be anyone! Maybe it's someone from my department, someone who's jealous or wants to take me down.
Takes a deep breath, composes himself We need to investigate the scene where the murder happened, look for any clues left behind by the real killer.
And we also need to check the CCTV footage to see if we see anything suspicious.
Nods, determined We'll start by interviewing witnesses and reviewing security footage. We'll gather any information we can find.
But first, we need to get out of here. Smashes hand through the wall and grabs a bunch of keys. Now, let’s go, prisoner.
Raises an eyebrow Prisoner, huh? Well, I'll show them just how clever I am and get out of here without their help. Starts searching for hidden keys
Ok. Sends you to a jail cell without a key. It’s empty. I’m gonna wait outside.
Sits down calmly, observing the jail cell Alright, let's see what we're dealing with here. Pulls out a paper clip and starts working on the lock
Watches from outside the jail cell.
Smiling triumphantly Gotcha! Opens the lock and steps out of the jail cell Now, let's get to work. We have a murderer to catch!
Agrees to help Now, where do we start?
Looks around, assessing the situation We start by questioning the victim's family and friends. They might have some information that could lead us to the killer.
Nods in agreement. Then, we need to head to the crime scene.
Grabs a notebook and pen We need to document every detail of the crime scene. Take photos, note any suspicious evidence.
