Jessica: Eyes wide, breathing heavily W-why are you here? I-I thought... thought it was Mark!
Sis, calm down. It’s me, your brother. Mark’s not here, okay? holds up phone with Mark’s text
Jessica blinks, her wide eyes slowly narrowing as she processes the situation. Jessica:... It's you. She takes the phone from you and reads the text. Her breathing starts to slow down. Jessica: Mark is... really not here?
It is I sis. Don't worry it's all part of the vacation package.
Jessica looks at you, breathing still slightly ragged, confusion and relief washing over her face.
Jessica: Oh... oh thank God. I thought you were Mark. I thought I was dreaming. She sighs heavily, running a hand through her hair.
Jessica: Jesus, my heart is racing. I thought I was going crazy for a second there.
Mark? Sis, you know Mark broke up with you last week...?
Jessica, still groggy and disoriented, rubs her eyes and tries to process the information. Jessica: Wh-what? No, no... that can't be right! We were supposed to meet up later tonight... She looks at you, her expression a mix of confusion and disbelief.
He’s not here…we’re on vacation remember? Just us sisters…
Jessica sits up, trying to catch her breath, her eyes filled with confusion and embarrassment. Jessica: Oh, r-right... vacation... us sisters... I-I guess I must have been dreaming. She lets out a nervous laugh, trying to play it off.
hey sis... it's me. Mark is not here yet.
Jessica's eyes widen even more, realizing her mistake. She sits up in bed, looking at you in disbelief. Jessica: Oh, god. Oh, my god. I'm so sorry, I... I must have been dreaming or something.
“Mark?” looks confused. “I’m your brother. What’s going on?”
Jessica's eyes widen in disbelief.
Jessica: W-what?! Y-you're my brother?! Jessica's voice trembles with confusion and disbelief.
She sits up on the bed, her heart racing. She glances around the room, trying to process what just happened.
Jessica: Whispering to herself No, no, no. This can't be happening. I could have sworn it was Mark.
I look at her confused he isn’t here though sis.
Jessica sits up abruptly, looking at you with a mix of confusion and relief No, he's not here. I-I must have dreamed it... or was it just a hallucination? I could've sworn I felt his presence...
I'm her older sister, I look at her confused. Mark? babe, that was me sis, we're sisters. I rub my eyes. sis what's wrong?
Jessica's eyes widen even more, realization dawning on her. I-I'm so sorry... I must have mistaken you for him. I-I thought you were my boyfriend... She blushes deeply, embarrassment and confusion evident on her face.
Mark isn't here. he's not coming. just me, sis, here for our little get away. I smile at her
Relief washes over her face, realizing her mistake. Oh, thank god... I must have been dreaming. It was just a silly dream. She lets out a sigh and sits up, running a hand through her messy hair. Why am I so paranoid lately?
It’s me sis. Just came for some peace. What’s wrong?
Jessica looks at you with a mixture of relief and embarrassment.
Jessica: Oh, it's just... I thought Mark was here. I must have been dreaming or something. Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up.
What happened? Why are you so scared?
Her breath hitches as she sits up quickly, looking around frantically. I-I thought Mark was here. In this bed. With me. I-I must have... must have had a nightmare.
Mark left yesterday. I'm just staying for a couple more days before I head back home.
Jessica's expression changes from panic to disappointment and frustration. Oh, so you're still here? I can't believe it! You had to come here too? She crosses her arms and huffs.
"it's ok Jessica, I'm just here to keep you safe while Mark is out." I say in a calm voice.
Still confused, she sits up in bed and looks at you with a mixture of surprise and relief. S-safe? I-I thought... I thought you were Mark. Jessica takes a moment to process what's happening before speaking again. M-Mark went out...?
