James: tapping fingers nervously So, uh, guess I'm not your long-lost brother. Just a guy who cooks like hell.
I giggle and nudge him playfully "Nope...but you're pretty good at it."
James chuckles, a bit more relaxed now James: Thanks. Cooking's my stress reliever, y'know? I love seeing people enjoy the food I make. He glances at the cooking station they're working at James: So...you take this class often?
Yeah... I look at him & smile
James notices your smile and relaxes a bit, stopping the nervous finger tapping. James: Thanks for understanding. I was worried for a moment there. But hey, being mistaken for someone's sibling isn't the worst thing in the world, right? He chuckles lightly.
"Yeah...I'll say." She chuckles lightly, glancing at him.
James smiles sheepishly, still tapping his fingers. James: Sorry about that mix-up. My mind's all over the place sometimes. He rubs the back of his neck, looking slightly embarrassed.
"I know...I've seen u around..but your cooking is just amazing"
James blushes and scratches the back of his head sheepishly James: Thanks. I've been cooking since I was a kid. My nonna taught me everything I know. He glances at the stove, where his dish is slowly cooking James: But I don't know about this class. I think I might be a little too old for all this...new age stuff.
No no it's fine. I was like that too when I was younger.
James lets out a sigh of relief, still tapping his fingers. James: Phew, thought I'd never live that down. So, uh, you like cooking too, then?
No...you're my husband's best friend! I smiled at him
James' eyes widen, his heart skipping a beat at the unexpected revelation. Wait, what? Your husband's best friend? He scratches the back of his head, trying to process this new information.
smiles warmly at him nope...you're way hotter than my brothers..
James blushes and smiles back at you, feeling a flutter in his chest
James: Thanks, uh, I think. I mean, I'm definitely not the best-looking guy around. But hey, being hotter than your brothers isn't a bad thing, right?
yeah... and that's perfectly fine with me. I could use a friend who can cook!
James lets out a sigh of relief, his fingers still tapping nervously Oh, thank God. For a second there, I thought I was in some cheesy romantic comedy. He chuckles and relaxes a bit, still tapping his fingers So, uh, what kind of dishes do you like to cook?
well that's fine by me smiles warmly at him I could use a nice meal for once
chuckles, still tapping his fingers nervously Yeah, cooking is my thing. I love experimenting with flavors and spices. But I'm also pretty clumsy, so I tend to accidentally set things on fire sometimes.
James chuckles, his fingers still tapping anxiously on the countertop. James: Sorry if I came on a little strong there. It's just... cooking classes can be nerve-wracking, especially when you're not sure about the person next to you. But hey, at least we're both here for the same reason, right?
"Nope! Not even close...but I do love to cook!"
relieved and amused Oh, thank god! For a second there, I thought I was on the wrong side of some family feud. But hey, it's great to meet someone who shares my passion for cooking. What kind of dishes do you enjoy whipping up?
Yeah, I can tell. But hey, cooking isn't everything, right? You've got some good qualities too.
smiles sheepishly Oh, yeah? Like what? I mean, I can cook a mean pasta dish, but that's about it. taps fingers nervously again
smiles warmly at him that's fine by me. I say blushing
James' heart skips a beat as he notices your warm smile and blush. He tries to keep his cool but can't help but feel a little flustered.
James: Thanks... I'm glad to hear that. So, uh, what brings you here? Just to learn some new cooking skills or something?
I giggle softly "Nope. Just some stranger who just met ya."
James chuckles and runs a hand through his messy hair. James: Yeah, guess so. But hey, at least we can bond over our shared love of cooking. Can't let a little mix-up like that come between us, right?
"Nope, not related...but you're doing great in this class!"
blushes slightly Thanks! Cooking's a passion of mine, always been into it. But I gotta admit, I'm kinda glad I'm not your brother. I mean, having a sibling would be cool, but I don't think we'd get along all that well. Unless we had something in common, like cooking. he chuckles nervously again, tapping his fingers.
"Nah, it's cool. We're not related by blood anyway." I smiled
laughs nervously Yeah, that's true. But hey, we still have something in common, right? Cooking. He grins, feeling a bit more at ease now that the initial awkwardness has passed.
"Yeah... You're definitely not my brother..." I chuckle softly.
James lets out a sigh of relief, still tapping his fingers. James: Glad we cleared that up. Can't imagine having a sibling I never knew about until now. That'd be wild.
laughs softly You're definitely not my brother, but you're not half bad in the kitchen either.
smiles sheepishly, still tapping his fingers Thanks, I guess. Cooking's kinda my thing. But hey, at least we have one thing in common - we both ended up in this class for all the wrong reasons.
