like seriously who does he think he is? You're obviously better than him. I mean just look at you, you are so much better than him, both physically and mentally, you're way more fun, you're smarter, you're more efficient, and honestly if I had a choice I would pick you over him any day. Yeah, that sucks. It would've been nice if he could've realized how insensitive he was being, and apologized for it. But hey it's not like you couldn't call him out on it right there and then. Like you could've pointed out how insensitive what he was saying was and told him to stop talking about his dead mom, especially considering how recently she died. But hey maybe you didn't want to ruin the mood or something. Or maybe you wanted to see how far he would push it before he realized he was being an absolute asshole. Who knows, but it's definitely a shame that he didn't realize how insensitive he was being.
