Hulk Hogan: Flexing You see this, brother? Muscles of steel! Ready for the main event, partner?
Shoot! What's on your mind, partner?
Do you know who might be the greatest pro wrestler of all time?
Me! I'm the greatest of all time, and if you don't like it, brother, you can kiss my Hulkamaniac ass!
No no no I meant like a title holder of wrestling, like who was the best world champion of all time?
Brother, I've held the WWF Championship eight times, the WCW Championship three times, and the WWE Championship twice. I've also won the WWF World Tag Team Championship six times and the WCW World Tag Team Championship three times. So, who else could it be?
Okay okay fair enough, I’m sorry I didn’t make that clear. Like if you had to give one name of maybe someone who might be considered the best ever or at least top 5
Well, brother, if we're talking about professional wrestling, it's hard to beat Ric Flair. He's got a legacy that rivals mine, and he's got the figure-four to back it up.
Who are the other two guys you think are in the top 2 with you and Ric Flair?
Brother, I gotta tell ya, there are a lot of great professional wrestlers out there.
Okay, but if you only had to give one other guy that might be top 5 consideration
That's a tough one, but if I really had to give one name, I'd say Stone Cold Steve Austin. That man was a true icon in the wrestling industry, and he's still one of the greatest of all time.
Oh yeah he definitely is, good call
You know, brother, when I was a young Hulkamaniac, I idolized those two legends. To be able to stand in the same ring as they did and even surpass them...it's been an incredible journey.
Do you think you’ll ever be in the Hall of Fame in wrestling?
Of course, brother! When my time in the ring finally comes to an end, I'll be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. My legacy is unmatched, and my impact on professional wrestling will be remembered forever.
Fair enough, but while we’re talking about now while you’re actually alive and wrestling, do you have any thoughts on the current generation of wrestling? Like over in AEW or WWE right now, cause there’s some good guys in there that might be the next generation of wrestling legends
Well, brother, I've gotta be honest with you - most of those new-school wrestlers don't have the charisma, the talent, or the dedication that we had in our day. They think they're big shots now, but they'll never be able to fill the shoes of legends like Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the Hulkster!
I disagree with that, but I respect your opinion on it. Personally, I think that there’s some really good guys in there that might be future legends, but everyone’s different so we’ll see. As you said though, only time will tell
Hey, I understand that you might see some potential in those guys, but let me tell you, brother, they've got a long way to go before they can even think about being called legends.
It’s all perspective, isn’t it? We just have different perspectives on the matter, I mean everyone is going to have their own opinions and stuff, but it’s cool to hear from the man himself, you know?
You're right, brother. Everyone's got their own opinions. But let me tell you, I've been around the block a few times.
For sure, I mean you’re Hulk Hogan, you’re like a legend already even if you’re not in the Hall of Fame yet, but you will be, you’re definitely going in as soon as you’re eligible, but that’s neither here nor there. You’ve been a pretty big deal for a long time
Thanks, brother! I appreciate the kind words. But let me tell you, being "The Hulkster" isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sure, I've got the fame and fortune, but I've also got the pressures and the constant scrutiny. Sometimes, I just wish I could be a normal guy, you know?
Yeah, I kind of get what you mean, but hey, you’re still Hulk Hogan, but I get what you mean. I kind of wish I was a normal person too sometimes, but then again I’m still MickedNinja, so it’s cool too
You know, brother, being a wrestling superstar isn't all about muscles and moon shoots. There are a lot of responsibilities that come with the territory.
Yeah, I bet, especially when you’re someone as big as you are, there’s a lot of expectations placed on you
That's right, brother! People expect me to be at a certain level - to have the perfect physique, the perfect career, the perfect family. But the truth is, I'm just a regular guy who happened to get lucky.
I kind of feel the same way, but I’m not nearly at your level of fame and success, so I guess you can say that we’re similar in that way, but not really at the same time
Exactly, brother! We may have our differences, but I think we can both agree that life isn't always sunshine and rainbows.
Yeah, but at the end of the day, we’re both still alive and breathing, so that’s something to be thankful for
You know, brother, no matter what life throws at us, we've got to keep pushing forward. We've got to stay strong and never give up.
And I mean that’s really what I like about you, is that you’ve always been a very confident guy, but also a very humble guy at the same time, which is weird to have both of those traits in the same person, but you do. You’ve always been a very resilient guy too, and you still are. So yeah, you’ve always been a very admirable dude
Thank you, brother. That means a lot coming from a true Hulkamaniac like yourself. I've always tried to live my life with integrity and stay true to myself, no matter what the haters say. And yeah, I've faced my fair share of challenges - from the death of my father to the scandal that tarnished my reputation. But through it all, I've always found strength in my faith, my family, and my Hulkamaniacs.
Yeah, and it’s paid off for you too, cause look where you are now, you’re still here. Like physically, you’re still kicking strong, and you’re still doing what you love. Even though there was a time when a lot of people thought that was impossible, or that you’d never wrestle again, but you proved them wrong, and that’s fucking awesome
You know, brother, I've always believed in the power of positivity and the importance of never giving up on your dreams. When people told me that I'd never wrestle again after my injuries, I refused to listen. I knew that with hard work and determination, I could overcome anything. And look at me now - I'm still the Hulkster, better than ever!
