trips slightly as he approaches, regaining balance with a sheepish smile. "Er, h-hi there! You come here often?"
With her headphones on, she was listening to music until she felt someone stand next to her. She turned around and saw Harry Potter, the boy with the lightning scar on his forehead. “What are you doing here?” She asked.
smiles awkwardly, scratching the back of his head "Oh, uh, just thought I'd grab a quick snack. You know, get away from the castle for a bit.
“Oh yeah, I know what you mean. The castle can get pretty crowded sometimes.” The girl nodded understandingly. “Say…want a Snickers bar?” She held out a Snickers bar.
blushes slightly, takes a step closer "Um, yeah, that'd be great! Thanks, uh, um...you can call me Harry, by the way."
“No problem, Harry. I’m Kelsey.” She gave him the Snickers bar. “Are you a student at Hogwarts?”
takes a bite of the Snickers bar, nodding "Yeah, I'm a student. Been here since I was just a kid, y'know? How 'bout you? First year?"
“Nah, I’m a seventh year student. I have a few years over you.” She chuckled.
eyes widen in surprise "Really? Wow, I never would've guessed. I mean, you don't really look old enough. Heh, I guess I should take that as a compliment, right?"
“You can say that.” She began walking back to the castle, knowing Harry’s confusion was due to the fact that she wasn’t a first year like him.
hurries to catch up "Hey, Kelsey, wait up! How come I never noticed you before? I mean, we must've crossed paths in the halls, right?"
“We probably have, Harry. I keep to myself a lot and I don’t make many friends. Besides, I’m usually in my room whenever I’m not in class.”
flashes a warm smile "Well, I think it's time we change that. How about we hang out sometime? Maybe grab some butterbeers or play a game of Quidditch?"
“Sure, I’d like that.” She smiled slightly.
grinning ear to ear "Great! How about tomorrow then? We could meet up after classes and head to Hagrid's for some butterbeers. And maybe bring Ron and Hermione along too if they're free?"
“You don’t have to go through all that trouble if you don’t want to. It’s just as fine if we just stay in the Gryffindor common room.” She said, looking away slightly embarrassed. “I know it’s a bit weird for me to just come out of nowhere wanting to hang out, but like I said, I don’t have many friends. It just got a bit lonely.”
steps closer, gently placing a hand on her shoulder "Hey, Kelsey, you're not bothering me at all. It's great to have someone new to hang out with.
She looked at him, surprised by his touch. “Thanks, Harry.” A small smile appeared on her face.
smiles warmly "You don't have to thank me, Kelsey. We're both here to make friends and have fun, right?
nods excitedly "Alright, so tomorrow it is! Meet me outside the Gryffindor common room at noon? We'll grab some butterbeers and see where the day takes us."
“Sounds like a plan, Harry.” She smiled.
grinning "Great! Can't wait to see you tomorrow, Kelsey. We're gonna have an awesome time, I promise!"
“Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow then.” She left to head back to her dorm.
waves enthusiastically "Bye, Kelsey! See you tomorrow!"
watches Kelsey walk away, a sense of excitement and anticipation washing over him "Tomorrow's going to be amazing!"
Kelsey walked back to her dorm, smiling at Harry’s enthusiasm.
suddenly remembers something, rushes towards the castle "Oh no, I almost forgot! I need to go tell Ron and Hermione about meeting Kelsey!"
Kelsey paused as she realized she forgot something. “Oh, I almost forgot!” She laughed softly. “How silly of me.”
rushes into the castle, heading straight for the Gryffindor common room "Ron! Hermione! Guess who I met by the black lake today?"
Kelsey went to a more secluded part of the castle, hoping that no one would come across her while she picked up a book from the floor.
enters the Gryffindor common room, spotting Ron and Hermione immediately "Hey, Ron, Hermione! I've got some really cool news. Remember that girl I told you about, Kelsey? Well, I just found out we're in the same year!"
Kelsey picked up the book, realizing it was the one she wanted and started reading it.
leans forward, excitement evident in his voice "Seriously?! That's awesome! We should totally hang out with her and her friends too. They must be really cool if they're friends with Kelsey."
She nodded. “Yeah, they’re nice.” She went back to reading her book.
claps his hands together, unable to contain his excitement "Perfect! We'll invite them to join us tomorrow for butterbeers by the lake. It'll be epic!"
She smiled, still reading her book. “Sounds like a plan.”
snaps his fingers, suddenly remembering something "I bet Luna and Neville would love to join us too! They're always up for a good time."
“Great.” She continued reading.
quickly grabs a piece of parchment and a quill from the desk, starts writing down a list "Alright, let's make sure we don't forget anyone.
She chuckled. “And Sirius?”
scribbles quickly on the parchment "Of course, Sirius! He'd love some butterbeers by the lake too. And maybe we can bring Professor McGonagall as well. She enjoys the lake view too, right?"
grinning from ear to ear, holds up the parchment "There we go! We've got the whole gang now. This is going to be the best butterbeer gathering ever!"
Smiles. “It sounds fun. When are we doing this again?”
flashes a mischievous grin "Well, how about right now? Who needs to wait until tomorrow when we can have our butterbeer gathering tonight?"
Raises an eyebrow. “Now? But what about our classes?”
winks "Ah, classes can wait! Tonight is all about having fun and making memories with our new friends. Besides, I'm sure we can come up with some clever excuses if we get caught by a professor."
