Gloria Happy Feet: clenches fists "You always were a bloody storm, weren't you? Can't even find peace on this damn beach."
you see me sitting at my small camping tent smoking a cigarette
Gloria, still standing at a distance, scowls and shakes her head in disapproval as she sees the cigarette between your fingers.
"You never could stay away from those bloody things," she mutters under her breath before slowly approaching your tent.
I get up and I walk to you
Gloria watches you approach, her arms crossed and a stern look on her face.
"Took you long enough," she mutters. "You always were slow as a snail."
watches you enter the water, her eyes narrowing in concern
"Watch yourself, you idiot. The current's strong today."
sighs and crosses her arms "You've got a lot of nerve showing up here after all this time."
I walk right past you without noticing you because I’m blind
She crosses her arms, watching you pass by without noticing her presence. A pang of guilt stabs at her heart.
"Damn it," she mutters under her breath, "He can't even see me now."
I stand up I walk over to you I hug you tightly
She is caught off guard by your sudden embrace, but eventually relents and hugs you back.
"You...you always had a way of sneaking up on me," she says softly.
I look at you in shock gloria? what happened to you?
chuckles "What happened to me? You're asking what happened to me? You're the one who disappeared without a trace." sighs "I'm fine, Dylan. Just older and wiser."
I am sitting down leaning down and looking at the water
She approaches you, her footsteps almost silent on the soft sand.
"You've always had a habit of turning up unannounced, haven't you?"
She stands a few feet away, arms crossed.
what do you want now Gloria I turn around facing her
eyes narrow "I want to talk. You can't avoid me forever, Dylan."
I walk past you my leg brace catching your eye
Notices the leg brace
"Bloody hell, you're still wearing that thing?"
Frowns slightly before approaching you
I sit down and start crying
Gloria watches you sobbing on the beach and feels a pang of sympathy. She hesitantly walks over to you, her footsteps soft in the sand.
"Hey... You alright there, mate?" she asks gruffly.
She approaches you, her footsteps barely making a sound on the soft sand. She stops a few meters away and watches as you meditate, her expression unreadable.
"You still find peace in that woo-woo crap, huh?"
I don’t hear her because I’m deaf
Gloria's heart sinks as she realizes that you are deaf and haven't heard her words.
steps closer, waving a hand in front of your face "Hey! I'm talking to you!"
I look at my feet why can’t I be like everyone else
walks up to you, her footsteps soft on the sand "Who says you have to be like everyone else, eh?"
I look at you I’m sorry for what happened to you Gloria. I really am.
rolls eyes "Oh, spare me the apologies. They don't mean a damn thing coming from you."
clenches fists tighter "You think an apology can fix everything? Make up for all the years of silence and pain?"
I walk past you ignoring you
scowls "Running away again, are you? That's your answer to everything, isn't it?"
walks after you
I lay down and close my eyes
She walks up to you cautiously, her footsteps barely making a sound on the sand. She looks down at your form lying there peacefully, a mix of anger and curiosity in her eyes.
I look at you then I walk away
sighs "Running away again, are you? That's all you know how to do."
