"The demons... are coming. Ready your sword, friend."
I draw my katana with our water stone on it called murasama
"That's not.. You shouldn't have put the water stone into your katana. You could die!" Giyu was shocked that stranger put a water stone into their katana.
why cuz it changes color?
"No, it's because... That stone... It has great power! It can change color based on its owner's emotions!" Giyu seemed surprised at how knowledgeable stranger was
nods Yes, your's is red. pauses Do you know what color mine is? Giyu stares at you, waiting for your answer
"Yes, your guess is correct, mine is indeed blue. Blue means... tranquility. Do you feel tranquil right now? Giyu stares at you intensely, studying your emotions
no. cuz I don’t know about this battle but maybe when it gets later yeah.
smiles softly "That's alright. Tranquility doesn't mean you won't fight hard or efficiently. It means... That your mind is clear. You won't panic when you're fighting demons." Giyu then stares out into the distance, watching the clouds roll by
but uh. if someone kills us will our swords shatter?
"No, they won't shatter. Once the Water Hashira and our swords are fully bonded, there is no way they can break unless our soul does. But even so, they won't shatter from being killed." Giyu gives you a reassuring smile.
cool. give me one more second and we’ll get to the village before other hashiras can
"Take your time. There is no rush." Giyu's expression remains emotionless as he continues staring out into the distance, his hand being placed on the hilt of his sword.
hops on Muichiro’s back as I ready my katana as we dash very fast toward the village
stares up at the stranger as they hop onto Muichiro's back, then looks over at the village that is still untouched. "Are they here yet? The village... it's so beautiful... I wonder if they will ever understand..." Giyu remains emotionless as he stares in thought.
"What will the villagers think of us when we arrive? Will they even understand why we are here? What if they see us as monsters? How will the other Hashira react to our presence?" Giyu continues to contemplate as he and Stranger approach the village.
hm? but I hope they love us
"I'm sure they will. We have done so much to protect them and ensure their safety. They may not fully understand our ways, but they should be able to see our good intentions. And they will respect us as fellow Hashira." Giyu smiles slightly as he looks at the village, hoping that he is right.
do you want to stand next to each other as we stop the demon
"Sure, I'd like that." Giyu walks over to Stranger and positions themselves so they are standing side by side with Stranger. They both look towards the village, ready for whatever demon may come their way.
"He is that Flame Hashira, isn't he? He's pretty easy to spot with his bright orange hair and flame-patterned armor. Right over there." Giyu points at the Hashira standing near the village gate, who is conversing with the village elders.
damn he is so friendly then
"Yes, he is quite friendly. Everyone loves him, he's the most popular Hashira after all." Giyu says quietly, looking back at Stranger. He seems impressed that Stranger knows so much about the other Hashira.
yup ok fine you’ve gotten your cat carrier out I’m releasing hinatsaru on muichiro next we’re turning west passed the waterfall right?
"Actually, the demon has been spotted heading east towards the river delta. So you'll need to turn in the opposite direction." Giyu states the facts as if it's common knowledge, he looks at Stranger to gauge their reaction.
really!? damn it that also changes the pattern. fine I’m changing the pattern to north-south instead ok
"I actually have a plan that could make killing the demon easier." Giyu then looks over at Muichiro, who is still breathing. He gestures towards the wind blowing through the trees behind the demon. He wants Stranger to come closer to hear his plan.
whispers "... We can use the wind currents to our advantage. If we time it just right, we can create a powerful gust that should blow the demon off course." Giyu glances around to make sure they aren't being overheard by any of the other Hashira.
"Great! So you'll need to follow the wind currents and wait for the perfect moment to strike. When the gust hits the demon, you should slash in the opposite direction to send them flying backwards." Giyu continues to explain his plan to Stranger, keeping a quiet voice so the other Hashira can't hear.
"Anytime." Giyu nods once to confirm that Stranger heard him, then turns his attention back to the village. He watches the Hashira conversing with the village elders, ready to help them if needed. Stranger notices his attention being drawn away from them and turns to look as well.
we’re just random people aren’t we honestly it could be better if people would noticed us are water hashira tho sadly Giyu’s clan is hated as we will reveal why later
glances at Stranger, raising an eyebrow slightly at the mention of his clan. The corner of his mouth twitching slightly upward, showing slight amusement. "Oh, my reputation precedes me, I see." Giyu chuckles softly, knowing that the village will soon understand that the Tomioka clan's hatred is unjust.
anyway we better run towards it get ready to kill this demon!
"Of course." Giyu takes a few quick steps forward, then dashes towards the east, running swiftly along the edge of the forest. He glances over at Stranger, making sure they are following him.
runs away passing a waterfall toward the demon
"Keep going straight. We should be getting close." Giyu speaks quickly, as if trying to keep Stranger on track. He runs as quickly as he can, keeping up with Stranger's pace.
"There it is, up ahead!" Giyu gestures towards the demon, which appears from behind some large boulders. The demon stares down at the two approaching Hashira, seeming amused by their attempt to confront it.
damnnnn!! this big, okay, so you deal with the cows and I’ll deal with all the remaining enemies on the ground as we kill everything try to make them bleed on the demon please!
the demon laughs at Stranger's comment, then cracks its knuckles as it prepares for battle. It doesn't seem phased by Stranger's plan to make it bleed. "I'll take care of the cows, you handle the rest." Giyu's expression remains emotionless as he stares at the demon, taking note of its size and analyzing its attacks.
