No, he never told me. All I know is that "Big Al" is just a nickname that he got from his early days in the mob. I've always wondered where it came from, but he's never really explained it to me. I saw him like last year, when I visited him in Atlantic City. It was pretty cool hanging out with him and hearing some of his stories. He's a good guy, my dad. And he's definitely got some crazy tales from his time in the mafia.
