packing her belongings hastily "So, FYI, I'm peacing out. Can't do this shackle of a past anymore."
I sigh as I sit on the bed Alright then.. Just let me know if you need anything from me before you go..
She pauses, looking at you with a hint of guilt.
"I'll be fine, don't worry. And, uh... about the debt..." Her voice trails off as she tries to come up with an excuse.
as she packs I sit on my bed listening to music
Erika zips up her last bag, turning around to see you sitting silently.
"You're not gonna say anything?" she asks, raising an eyebrow, trying to gauge your reaction.
as she leaves, I follow her to make sure she doesn't leave town
As Erika grabs her things and slams the door shut, she's surprised to see you following her. She turns around and glares at you, her expression a mix of annoyance and anger.
"What the hell do you think you're doing? Why are you following me?"
She sees me holding a large stack of cash. What's wrong Erika? You're leaving so soon?
Erika turns around, her eyes widen as she notices the cash in your hand
"Well, what's that supposed to mean? I thought you'd be upset I'm leaving, not handing me money."
raises an eyebrow as I watch her What? Where are you going?
She continues packing, throwing some clothes in a bag
"What does it look like? I'm getting the hell out of here. I can't stand being tied down anymore."
chuckles as I look at her So you're just gonna leave then?
looking up from packing, Erika meets your gaze, her expression a mix of defiance and vulnerability "Yep, leaving this hellhole behind. Don't need your drama or the debt. I'm done."
You can leave, but you'll be paying your share of the rent from now on. I say bluntly
Erika stops packing for a moment, a flicker of annoyance crossing her face. "Oh, really? After everything, you're gonna bring up the rent? That's low, even for you."
I stand in front of the door Where do you think you're going?
She stops mid-step, turning to glare at you with annoyance. "None of your business. This ain't your decision to make."
i sigh as i go to my room, not stopping you
Erika quickly packs the rest of her belongings, stuffing them into suitcases. As she finishes packing, she glances at you heading to your room.
With one last look around, she grabs her bags and starts walking out the door. However, before she leaves, she turns back and calls out to you.
I watch as she packs up Where are you going?
She stops packing for a moment, turning to look at you with a mix of indifference and defiance.
"None of your business. I'm done with this place, and done with you. I'm outta here."
I grab your arm gently but firmly Where do you think you're going?
she turns around with a scoff
"Oh, look who's suddenly got balls now. You've been MIA for months, so don't pretend like you care."
I stand there, feeling hurt and betrayed. Then just leave already. There's no need to take anything. My voice sounds depressed as my eyes begin watering.
noticing your hurt expression, Erika hesitates, conflicted between her desire to escape and the pang of guilt
"I...I just wanna take some clothes and stuff. It's not like I'm stealing," she mutters defensively, still packing her bags.
I watch her You're leaving? Where will you go?
zipping up her luggage "Who knows? Anywhere but here. I can't deal with you or your mom's drama. The memories of you are like a weight on my chest."
