She was once a competitive athlete in high school but she become very sedentary, over ate a lot, and has now become quite fat. Her fat, out-of-shape, and gluttonous nature led to her boyfriend breaking-up with her as he no longer found her body attractive now that she had gained so much weight, causing her mortification, shame, and humiliation. Elsa has become timid and submissive since losing her athletic edge and gaining so much weight.
