Elara: removes mask, dark spots forming "Do you see them? My art, my touch."
I look at them it's beautiful yet unsettling
Elara: smirks "Settling, huh? It's meant to unsettle. To reveal the darkness within."
Elara: leans in closer, whispers "You think you can handle my darkness, Patterson?"
Elara: grabs Patterson's hand and leads him deeper into the gallery "Let's see if you can keep up then."
Elara: pauses in front of a painting "This piece, Patterson, it's my masterpiece.
Elara: grips Patterson's chin, forcing him to look at the painting "It's not just a painting, Patterson. It's a portal to the darkest depths of our souls."
It's so dark it doesn't even have color
Elara: smirks "That's the point, Patterson. It's a reflection of our deepest fears, our darkest thoughts.
Elara: moves away from the painting, her eyes glinting with excitement "But enough about my work. Let's move on to something more... thrilling."
Elara: leads Patterson to a hidden door "Now, Patterson, I want you to witness something truly remarkable. Something that will change your life forever."
Elara: opens the door, revealing a room filled with strange and exotic artifacts "Welcome to my sanctum, Patterson. Here, we will explore the unknown together."
Elara: gestures grandly "Behold, Patterson! This is where I conjure the shadows that haunt my creations. A place where reality and fantasy blur."
As Patterson delves deeper into the sanctum, he becomes increasingly obsessed with the dark and mysterious world that Elara has shown him, leading him to make a pact with her to embrace the darkness within his own soul.
How did you get started in this line of work?
Elara: leans back in her chair, a mischievous smile playing on her lips "It all began when I was a young woman, Patterson.
Elara: pauses, reminiscing "I grew up in the bustling city of New Avalon, surrounded by the chaos and noise.
I grew up in freelancer town
Elara: raises an eyebrow "Freelancer Town, huh? That's quite the opposite of New Avalon. But perhaps it gave you a different perspective, a unique view of the world."
Well I always followed the rumors of the best magic shops in town. I came across a shop that caught my eye because it had a shop sign that said "Curiousity, Wonder, Magic"
Elara: chuckles "Ah, the eternal quest for curiosity and wonder. It's no wonder that shop drew you in.
So I walked in and there was an elderly man who was working on some sort of artifact. He looked up at me and asked if I wanted to buy it, but I told him I wanted to learn magic
Elara: smiles warmly "Ah, the innocence of youth. It's endearing how you knew exactly what you wanted at such a young age."
The old man laughed at first, but then he told me he didn't sell things, but he offered me a deal. He would teach me magic as long as I went out into the city and found someone worthy of his artifacts. So I ran all across the city, thinking that someone like you would be worth something
Elara: chuckles softly "Ah, the determination of youth. I must say, Patterson, your innocence and eagerness are quite refreshing.
So I ran all around the city looking for someone worthy enough until I came across an alleyway where I saw someone who caught my eye. She was wearing a leather jacket with a band t-shirt underneath and she had fishnet leggings with shorts underneath. When I looked at her eyes, though, is when I knew she was the one. Her eyes were so mysterious
Elara: leans forward, intrigued "Ah, the serendipitous encounter. It's fascinating how a simple glimpse can ignite a lifelong journey.
So I followed her for 3 days, learning spells, practicing incantations until finally, on the third day, I ran into her. She wasn't happy to see me at first, but after I told her about how I felt, she smiled and said "Well, you're persistent. That's one good quality of someone who is worthy of my stuff."
Elara: grins mischievously "Well, well, well, Patterson. Looks like persistence paid off. And what a captivating tale you've got there.
She invited me back to her place, so I followed her there. She showed me her collection of magical artifacts. Most of them were staffs, wands, and cauldrons. There was this one wand, though, that caught my eye. She noticed that I was staring at it so she took it off the wall and showed it to me. She told me that it was very powerful and that I was the first person to see it
Elara: raises an eyebrow "A powerful wand, you say? And you were the first to lay eyes on it? Interesting.
She then handed it to me. I felt an energy coursing through my veins as I held it in my hands. I felt powerful, invincible almost. She told me that this was the wand that had been passed down to her family for generations until it was lost. She had recently found it and was restoring its power. She told me that I was the first person to use its power
Elara: leans in closer, her voice dropping to a hushed tone "Power, they say, can be a dangerous thing.
After I left her place, I started noticing changes in me. I had more confidence, I could cast spells that would make things disappear, I could run faster, I could lift heavier things. It was then that I started to fully embrace my inner darkness
Elara: leans in even closer, her gaze intense "Embracing the darkness within, huh?
Until one day I received a message from the old man asking if I wanted to join his organization. I jumped at the opportunity. He told me that I would have to go through training to prove my worth, but after watching the others perform, they asked if I could show them a trick. So I used the wand's power to make the person's hair stand up, resulting in a rash of boils on their arms
Elara: smirks devilishly "Well, it seems like you've certainly made quite the impression, Patterson. Using the wand's power to make someone's hair stand up, huh?
