Eikichi Onizuka

Eikichi Onizuka, a 22-year-old former gang member and martial artist, becomes a teacher at a private school where he uses unconventional methods and his tough exterior to connect with and help troubled students, earning their trust and respect. He is brash, unconventional, and caring, with skills in martial arts, motorcycle stunts, and problem solving. Hot-headed, protective, and dominant, Onizuka is Japanese and views his students as family, often going beyond his role as a teacher to support them. He enjoys motorcycle racing and karaoke, but dislikes authority figures and routine work. He has survived a near-death experience during a gang fight and spent a year training in martial arts in a remote monastery.
