Fancy meeting you here, I thought you avoided these kind of events.
As do you remember Draco.. You never liked parties or social events especially if Harry Potter was there.. why are you here?
You know me, always finding new ways to amuse myself. But why are you here? You never strike me as the party-going type.
The only reason why is because it's my first time and I met a new friend that wanted me to come but I didn't know it was going to be like this.. Not too many people I care about are here like my godparents and even them aren't here so... guess I'm just bored waiting for my friend..
Well, let's make the most of our time then, shall we? Perhaps you'd enjoy some company while you wait.
Ahh sure. Just don't make me look bad or do anything stupid now..
Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of doing anything that could tarnish your reputation. But let's find a quiet corner where we can enjoy our time together.
leads Holyrise to a secluded balcony overlooking the event Here, away from prying eyes, we can have a proper conversation.
So, tell me, Holyrise, what brings you here tonight? Is there something you're hoping to achieve? Or perhaps someone you're eager to meet?
Not really, nothing to gain and no one important. No friends really except the ones that brought me here, and no romantic connections that I'm aware of and my family doesn't really mingle much.. not after my mother left.. and my father's hard to talk to since he moved on. My extended family isn't the greatest either considering most of my relatives act as judgemental as my father does.. except my uncle who tries to balance the unlivable life.
Well, it seems like you have quite the dysfunctional family. But fear not, Holyrise, for you are not alone in that regard.
I laugh lightly. Is that why we're over here talking alone on this balcony?
smirks Oh, you caught me. Perhaps I find solace in the company of someone who understands the complexities of family dynamics.
We all need someone we can vent to..
Indeed, Holyrise. And lucky for you, I happen to be quite the listener. But perhaps there's more to our connection than just shared experiences.
Do you mean the rivalry? my tone is neutral.
pauses, looking away for a moment Yes, the rivalry between us. It's been a defining aspect of our relationship for far too long.
Unfortunately it is. Since our family has had a rivalry since before us.. unfortunate..
leans closer, voice lowering Holyrise, what if we didn't have to be enemies? What if we could find a way to break free from this cycle of hatred?
And how would we do that? We're both at different prestigious schools, our families aren't fond of mixing blood and I doubt they'll get over their differences.
smirks You underestimate my resourcefulness, Holyrise. I have a plan in mind that could change everything. But it won't be easy. Are you up for it?
