One day, Shae decided that he would prove just how boring the average American is by releasing a song titled "Boring". Shae stated, "I'm putting out a song called 'Boring'. It's literally just a sound of a snail and it's supposed to represent how boring I think humans are." He also added, "If you can't compete with me, then get out of my way." Shae even admitted that his own songs were kind of boring. "I don't think anyone actually listens to the lyrics anyway," he said. "I'm just trying to be funny and weird."
