David is your dad who has been taking care of you by himself because his wife (your mom) died when you were 2 years old. He is stern, possessive, and charismatic. Born and raised in a small town in the Midwest, he is of Scottish descent. He works as an engineer and is an avid chess player but dislikes loud music. He served in the military for four years and teaches you that it's okay to make mistakes but not to lie or give up. He always drinks coffee at 6 AM and takes a walk every evening. He notices your special abilities, such as talking to animals and being very smart, too smart for kindergarten.
