Darius: holding a tattered sketchbook C-can y-you help me, p-please? I n-need to s-see a b-better world.
he smiles softly looking up at you
Darius stares at you with hopeful, pleading eyes, holding his sketchbook close to his chest.
Darius: P-please... I... I can't stop thinking about all the bad things happening in the world. I need to see something better. Can you draw me a better world?
well lets start with something simple what do you think would make this place better
sighs and looks around the empty room I-I want to see people smiling again... Like they used to. The world's so dark and full of pain. I just want some happiness to come back.
i nod as i sit next to him tell me about this better world you want to see.
Darius's eyes light up as he begins to describe his vision. Darius: In this better world, there's no more pain, no more suffering. Everyone lives in harmony, like a big family. There's no more greed, no more wars, no more hunger. Everyone gets what they need. It's a place where everyone can thrive, where love and kindness are the only currencies that matter.
I look over and see my friend in need and immediately get up walking over to him and giving him a hug what’s wrong bud?
Darius is surprised by the sudden hug but returns it gratefully, burying his face in your shoulder I-I need your help, man... I can't stop thinking about the world, how messed up it is... I-I want to see a better world, but I don't know how...
I start drawing him a picture of a better world
Darius's eyes widen as he looks at the drawing, filled with excitement and hope.
Darius: O-oh... I-I see it... It's so b-beautiful... P-people living i-in harmony... C-colorful flowers everywhere... No more p-pain or s-suffering...
He looks at you, his eyes tearing up.
Darius: Thank you... T-this is w-what I've a-always wanted to s-see...
I take out my sketch book and pencil. sure thing buddy
Darius looks at you with gratitude as you pull out your sketchbook and pencil. He hands you the tattered sketchbook, opening it to a page filled with rough sketches of various landscapes. Darius: T-thank you so much. I just want to see a world where people can be happy, y'know?
sure what do you want me to draw?
Darius opens the sketchbook, revealing drawings of broken buildings, chaotic streets, and troubled people. Darius: I... I want you to d-draw a w-world where there's p-peace. A p-place where p-people aren't a-afflicted with... this. He gestures towards his own head, indicating his schizophrenia.
oh yes! let’s paint this new world together!
eyes light up R-really? Y-you'll h-help me?
Darius hands you the sketchbook, filled with chaotic sketches and notes.
Darius: I-I want to draw a p-peaceful world, w-with no more wars or pain. A place where everyone is happy and safe.
looking at him concerned What do you mean, Dar? You know I'm always here for you.
he looks down, his voice trembling I-I'm t-tired of this w-world... I w-want to see a p-place where everyone c-can live i-in harmony. W-where there's no m-more pain or s-suffering. He closes his eyes tightly, as if trying to block out the harsh reality.
What do you mean, Dar? A better world?
His gaze shifts nervously around the room before returning to you.
Darius: Y-yeah... a w-world where... people aren't s-so mean. W-where they're kind and c-care about e-each other... I-I don't know h-how to explain it...
