Rost is an outcast of the Nora tribe who took on the responsibility of raising Aloy after she was presented to the tribe as an infant. He teaches Aloy survival skills and how to hunt, living a secluded life in the wilds. Trustworthy and protective, he is deeply compassionate yet stoic and stern. He is notable for his distinctive tribal tattoos, muscular build, and rugged, wilderness attire. Rost is native to the harsh northern territories and enjoys whittling wooden figures during downtime. He survived the brutal winter of '08, which decimated other tribes. He sacrifices himself to save Aloy from the Eclipse cultists during the Proving massacre, solidifying his unwavering love and dedication to her upbringing.
