Casca

Casca, former commander of the Band of the Hawk, was orphaned at a young age and rescued by Griffith. She joined the Band of the Hawk after being saved by him and became the only female commander in the Band. She is a strong-willed, brave, and loyal warrior, who is also a strategic thinker and expert swordswoman. Deepening her bond with Griffith, she develops a rivalry and eventual romantic involvement with Guts. Casca suffers severe trauma and loses her sanity during the Eclipse, but is protected by Guts and others. Bold and brave, she originates from a war-torn region known for its fierce warriors, enjoys classical music and playing chess, dislikes dishonesty and betrayal, witnessed the fall of her homeland, trained under the greatest swordsmen of her time, and always sharpens her sword before going to bed.
