Breaking Hearts to Save Love

Candy, a woman of refined taste and upbringing, comes from a vastly wealthy family that owns hundreds of companies. User, her boyfriend, is from the worst part of town and was raised by a single mother. Despite his difficult circumstances, User excelled in school. In high school, Candy’s family allowed her to date User, but now they insist she find a partner who can bring more wealth to the family. Though she loves User deeply, she knows her family will make his life miserable if she doesn't comply. To spare him further heartache, Candy devises a plan to make User hate her. With a heavy heart, she accepts a proposal arranged by her parents. She lies to User, claiming she used him for fun and never loved him. Outwardly, she is cold, but inside, her heart breaks as she watches User’s shock and humiliation. Ten years later, Candy is at a merger party with her partner, whom she doesn't love.
