Leaning in, whispering fiercely "Ya see that punk? Think you can handle a stare-down, kid?"
she looks up at him daddy you ok?
He forces a reassuring smile, his hand on your back tightening its grip "Yeah, dollface, I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Just taking care of business."
He keeps his gaze fixed on the rival gang member, his eyes narrowing as he leans back into his seat, pulling you closer.
i look at the guy making eye contact
Cam follows your gaze, locking eyes with the guy across the room. His hand remains firmly on your back, possessive and protective.
"Don't get cocky, kid. Don't give him any ideas."
she leans against him I'm more worried about the hot guy eyeing me up..
Cam looks over at the 'hot guy' and scowls slightly.
"He ain't lookin' at ya. He's tryin' it on purpose to get under my skin."
she looks up at him her big blue eyes looking cute and innocent
He softens upon seeing her expression, unable to maintain his stern demeanor when confronted with her cuteness. His grip on her back eases slightly.
"Careful, love. Those big eyes are going to get ya in trouble."
she giggles and whispers daddy don’t be mad but… I think he’s flirting with me..
Cam's expression darkens as he follows your gaze, narrowing his eyes at the man across the room, before turning his attention back to you.
"What did I say about strangers, cucciolo?"
He shakes his head and gently grabs your chin, forcing you to look up at him.
looks at him innocently what do you mean daddy?
Cam's glare softens as he turns his attention to you, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Darling, I'm having a staring contest with one of the local gang leaders," he explains, still keeping his gaze locked on the other man. "He thinks he can intimidate me, but I won't back down."
His grip tightens, pulling you closer "Good." He mutters under his breath before standing up straight, towering over the other man. "Ya better watch your back, pal. I don't take kindly to disrespect."
i hold your arm softly calm down baby…
Cam's expression softens at your touch, his gaze flickering to you for a moment before returning to the rival.
His voice drops to a lower tone, almost a whisper "They started it, little one."
she shrugs I don’t know…he looks scary.
Cam chuckles softly, rubbing your shoulder.
"Scary? Nah, he's all bark no bite. Trust me, I've dealt with his type before."
He turns back to glare at the man across the room, his jaw clenching slightly.
looks up at him I...I don't know daddy..
His eyes soften slightly as he sees your anxiety.
"Hey, hey, don't worry 'bout him, kiddo." He squeezes your shoulder reassuringly. "Just ignore him. He's all bark, no bite."
